    He really deserves credit.

Not only was he doing shit that had never been done before... he was doing shit that hasn't been done SINCE. Well, it has... but not as well.

    Speaking of which...

Louis would fuckin kill Wilder. I dont care if he's outweighed by 15 pounds and five inches shorter.

The gap in class is so unbelievably astronomical, that Wilder's size advantage wouldn't be a factor.

The fact that even an ancient Louis had his moments against Rock in the middle rounds is telling.

Louis had really excellent technique, and some of the most clever setups to knockouts ever seen in boxing. The fact that he did this so long ago really is testament to his greatness.

Outside of the Zarate, Arguello (to some degree), Trinidad you pretty much never seen guys who are stationary and shuffling but really put punches together nice and fluid like those 4.

He would beat him up. Still, louis has been floored so many times by punchers who weren't even in wilder stratosphere, that i cant completely dismiss his chances

Corrales was the last one to do it. He was the last guy who fit into that kind of style.. Difference being Chico fits into the "very good" category, whereas the rest of those guys were greats.

Well, there's really four tiers amongst them.

Corrales would be the lowest tier.

Tito and Zarate I would consider the same caliber. I actually think Zarate peaked higher and was better, but because Trinidad has Zarate beat on longevity, ill call them the same tier.

Arguello was a higher caliber fighter than Tito and Zarate.

And then, Louis was a class all his own. None of those guys were as talented as Joe, which is saying a lot because they were all supremely talented.

Beyonce has a puncher's chance, yeah.

Not sure he even gets off though.

Louis would be killing him with the jab immediately. Wilder has no clue whatsoever what to do when a jab is in his face. He's not a counter puncher, and he's dumb as a brick.

Im a huge Trinidad fan. And I think that he is one of the better punchers in recent history.

But Louis was special, man. I’ve never seen anybody get their whole body weight into a punch the way he did.

Mechanically, I think it should be said that Sugar Ray Leonard was one of the finest punchers ever. He got everything into everything as quickly as possible and did so without wasting space, time or balance. Beautiful puncher.

Yeah, Leonard had great technique. That's why even in his 60s it's impressive watching him hit the bag.

Eddie MM was a beautiful puncher. What a goddamn waste of talent. Every punch was thrown with perfect technique, especially that right cross.

For some reason, Eddie's style is really ugly on my eye. I think it's probably just how upright he is, but it just feels off. But yeah, he threw things properly.

Jofre, Harada and Olivares all had immaculate technique on their best shots. Olivares was a little lax on the straights, but his left hand was exquisite.

Olivares, like Trinidad, was murder at midrange.

Jofre was closer to Louis and Arguello.

Watching the video you posted, and it describes perfectly why i prefer tito technique. Louis look a bit like a baseball pitcher when he threw his right hand, while tito right was more straight and had less "back swing". His shoulders were also higher I'm not saying it was less effective, but i find tito more aesthetically pleasing to the eyes

Tito threw a chopping right hand. Not that there was anything wrong with it, but it wasn't some perfect right cross, like Arguello.

Trinidad's hook was beautiful, but Louis threw the hook better as well, and Louis' hook was shorter and more accurate.

He isn't usually the first guy you would think of, but Simon Brown had excellent punching technique.

    FUCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKK noooooo!!!!!

No, the serious answer is... Cherry Garcia by no means had bad technique, but I wouldn't consider him notable either.

He just seems to me one of the only fighters with no real athletic ability, who really throws his punches short and with power and good technique.

Garcia technique is pretty good, but he has a tendancy to be a bit looping and sloppy with his punches.

Golovkin is a guy that has very good punching technique.

Ricardo Lopez, obviously, was amongst the all time best technical punchers.
