I don’t think Garcia would have even been a name in the 90s or 80s golden era of welterweights.

He came around at the right time.

 

Depends what you means by a name. He would have hang near the top 5, but obviously wouldn't reach the top. To be honest, even in this era, he's barely a top 5 ww

 

Danny would be a whipping boy for the elite welters of any era. In the 90s, an Oba Carr level guy would whip on him.

He was better as a junior welter. He could be top 10 in any junior welterweight era, but he probably wouldn't be able to make 140 for as long in a same-day weigh-in era. And even if he could, he would always fall short against the very best junior welters.

 

Curry gives Garcia an even worst beating than Spence.
