I'm.not saying that they are at the same.level (stevenson does look much better), but i dont see a whole lot of.prospects id rate above haney

 

Stevenson isn't a prospect anymore. He hasn't been for awhile.

 

I still consider him a prospect since he hasn't beaten an elite fighter yet, nor has he been champion long enough. But of course, this is very subjective

 

In Shakur's defense, I wouldn't blame his comp on him.

He's called out Valdez left and right. Valdez is scared to death of Stevenson, as he should be. Shakur would fuck up his juicing ass.

Herring was getting a lot of credit after he slaughtered Frampton.

Now Stevenson makes Herring look like a palooka, and it's getting written off.

 

Not writing it off, but i think it was clear, even before the fight, that herring is not an elite fighter.

Id like to see the valdez fight, this could make a star out of the winner

 

I'd like to see the Valdez fight too, but Valdez don't want it. It's the most blatant duck job currently going on in the sport.

Valdez wants zero parts of Shakur.

 

I wonder loma can still makes 130. If so, it would be very interesting to see him against shakur

 

It has to be on Top Rank's radar after Loma beats Commey. Who else are they gonna match him with? The Fimo rematch isn't happening.

I'm sure Loma can make 130. Or maybe Shakur moves up. If the money is right, they'll figure out the weight. But to me, 130 sounds ideal. Loma is small at 135.

 

frampton? he looked like a leprechaun against herring and never did shit at 130. stevenson himself said herring is just a weight bully.

Navarette gets hit by every punch his opponents throw at him. And has yet to face an elite technician. Do you ever mention that?

I'm not even a Stevenson fan, I dont particularly like him. But you're incredibly biased when you have your Mexican heroes with their supposed "subtle skills", as opposed to "Hip Hop" fighters you dislike.

Stevenson would take target practice on Navarette.

A face-first guy like Nav, you'll bend over backwards to praise, totally disregarding their shortcomings.

A guy like Stevenson, it's a given that you'll always chime in to call them boring, and accusing them of "holding too much."

 

So I think the takeaway from last night is that Shakur would spank Haney & Ry.

He's an underdog against Loma and Tank, but he's very live against Loma imo.

I wasn't blown away by Loma destroying that Japanese bum - I said that's what would happen.

Loma is maybe a 55/45 favorite over Shakur.

Fimo is much too big for Shakur.

 

I think it needs repeating, despite a loss to Lopez, Lomachenko is still a way better fighter than Tank, Haney, and Garcia. He's easily the hardest match-up for Stevenson and everyone at his weight. Including Lopez.

You hardly hurt my feelings. I'm putting FACTS over feelings and calling out your hypocrisy.

 

Davis would stop Loma, at least imo.

No one wants to entertain the thought because Tank is universally hated, but I can't see Loma going on all night without getting caught by a Davis bomb that takes him out.

 

I've always thought Loma gives Davis a beating. Beating Mario Barrios hasn't changed my mind on that, and if anything, Loma's chin is as proven as it's ever been.

 

I've always thought that Loma had an excellent chin, plus he has excellent defence to boot. He managed to take it from Teo, a puncher who has admitted to walking around as high as 156lbs in interviews. I don't see how Davis can beat Loma tbh though of course he'd still have to be very much on guard. Davis' power is for real. Even if Davis hurt Loma I don't know if he could put it together to stop him. He'd have to flush KO him imo.
