Nice choices, George. I'm not for sure about the best one from the 30s yet. Armstrong-Ross, Armstrong-Ambers 2 and Canzoneri-Chocolate are in contention, I think.
i know it's all opinion and i haven't bothered to provide a list so take this for what it's worth, but Chacon/Lopez? probably wasn't even best fight of '74.
I'm trying to think of a better one from that year. Valdez-Briscoe 2? It's debatable. Good as it was, it wouldn't be my pick as fight of the 70s though.
I don't see any case for either of them being above Saad-Johnson I. I don't even find them the best fights from those four fighters. I prefer Arguello-Escalara II, Olivares-Castillo II and Ali-Frazier III.
Ali-Frazier 1 was the fight of the decade all things considered. For pure in the ring action alone, it's up for debate but as a complete entity, nothing else comes close.
