Not that it’s much for discussion, but I think AJ showed some heart agaisnt Whyte and Wlad. More than Plant ever has. That was AJ with confidence, though. I think Ruiz took it from him. Right now, I don’t think AJ is really ALL IN anymore. Plant tried but just realized early on that he wasn’t good enough to win and was content to take his L.
Yeah, AJ showed some heart in a lots of fight. Not Wilder level of heart, but enough for not calling him heartless or a mental midget. He was disappointing.against.usyk though. As PR said, he might not be as determined as he once was
Its very easy to have heart when your heart hasn't been taken yet. Some guys don't k now how to lose until they've lost Then it's a habit. AJ coming into the ring, high-fiving, then sitting on the ropes eating shots. SMFH. I think he wants out, personally.
Saying AJ showed heart in the Whyte fight is stretching it imo. He was basically in control the whole time save for a brief spell in the 2nd. Which world class fighter from history wouldn't have ride through a storm this brief and tame ?? I mean, no one is questioning his heart and desire in regard to a regular joe
Considering Their Back Story - Whyte Dropping and Beating Joshua in the Ammy’s, it was Definitely a Display of Heart to Be HURT, Yet Score a KO Several Rounds Later… REED
I get the sense too. He’s not the only one either. A lot of fighters are giving me that vibe that they really aren’t built for the long haul. Ryan Garcia is one. If he isn’t KO’d by someone he should beat on paper, he’ll find some excuse to step away from the game. He’s basically already got one foot out, which is why I think Oscar should just cash out on him while he’s still young with an 0 on his record.
I would just like to clarify.... I've got no problem, none, with any fighter who wants out.....but please, if they don't want to be here, then just leave. After the first Ruiz fight, Joshua's father confronted Eddie Hearn in the ring.. It wasn't really covered in the papers but something is not right and we have not heard the last of it. It was disconcerting to see Joshua sat on the ropes, eating shots and then trying to laugh it off before collapsing onto his stool. I think something is wrong. He's reacting badly. He's saying weird things in interviews. Two of Eddie Hearns fighters suffered very hard stoppages this very weekend. Kell Brook suffered 3 very hard stoppages under Hearns auspices (GGG, Spence, Bud). Joshua came into the ring really funky and odd vs Ruiz part 1. Then the same for Usyk. We shall see.... If I was him, I'd go back to basics. Fight a few 10 rounders vs nobodies. Get a new trainer or two.
It's a complex coping mechanism turning broccoli into broccolini, starkers and pouts on the cover of heat. top hat, cane and elocution lessons, and the only real authentic advice Eubank sr has to offer is to avoid Britain's assorted panel shows at all costs. He'll go proper Brixton sooner or later, a nifty time to taper off Boris's reelection campaign we hope.
Ruiz is not really fat anymore. Besides we've always had fat or overweight fighters....Galento, Cockell, Ron Stander, Buster Mathis, even guys like Big John Tate or Sanders or Bowe or Tua who came in too heavy but were all dangerous one way or the other.
