Woodley was on a bonus $500k if he WON.

Instead he preferred to get bashed.

Now, I ain't the brains of Britain but....

Paul isn't even close to the level of the regional amateurs I've seen.

That's why laughed when people who obviously don't follow mma called Woodley a wrestler. Woodley is past his prime but has a solid knockout wins and one over Robbie Lawler who was one of the most dangerous punchers in the UFC. Woodley got power. For a youtuber to knockout Woodley it is a big deal.

Problem is that his striking game doesnt translate well to boxing. He never really build his offence (never jabbed or used combos), he was all about catching opponents with the big right hand counter. Its no surprise to see him being so passive in a boxing fight

Holyfield was a 57 Year Old LATE REPLACEMENT For DeLa to Square Up w/Belfort, a RIPPED 206lb Southpaw w/a History of PED Use and Like Anderson Silva, a BACKGROUND IN BOXING!!!...

You Make it Seem Like the Holyfield Fight was the 1st Time Belfort Ever Put His Hands in Boxing Gloves; It WASN'T...Conversely, Jake Paul is SOFT BODIED @ Crusierweight...REED Fails to See How Belfort-Holyfield is RELEVANT to Tyson vs. Paul...

REED Didn't Think Tyson Would KO Lewis Either, So Not Sure WHY You've Added that Meaningless Footnote to Your Response...

"Objectively", Paul was ONCE AGAIN STRUGGLING w/a Former 170lb UFC Wrestler w/a PUTRID Punch Rate, Before Scoring What was Admittedly a NICE KO...

You're MOIST Between the Legs, Giddy Over a KO Without Realizing Even an OLD Mike Tyson Is BIGGER Than Woodley, (Considerably) More AGGRESSIVE, Throwing a Higher Rate of (Considerably) HARDER Punches, w/an Actual CHIN That Can Absorb Incoming Shots...

Jake Paul Literally Spent Half of Last Night's Fight On His Backfoot, CONCERNED About the 2-3 Hard Punches Woodley Threw Per Round...Yet YOU Think That Qualifies Him as a Candidate to BEAT Mike Tyson, and Belfort-Holyfield is Your Point of Reference???...

Woodley had a lot more success in the first fight from what I remember. Was more willing to try and assert his authority. Didn't see the same in the rematch.

That was a KO Bonus, Actually...

There was a Rumor Paul Had a Secret "No KO" Clause in the 1st Woodley Fight...So In Response, Paul Offered Woodley an ADDITIONAL $500k (On Top of His Fight Purse) if he Scored a KO...

Aside from the Round Where he Knocked Paul into the Ropes (the 4th?), REED Thinks Woodley's Efforts were More Consistent, More SUSTAINED in the 2nd Fight...

@ the Time of the KO, the Judges Only Had Paul Up by a Round, if REED's Not Mistaken...

Regardless, Even in MMA, Woodley was NEVER a High Volume Striker, Yet He OCCUPIED Paul Unquestionably in Both Bouts...

Again, at the age he is, it wouldn't be surprising if paul beats Tyson. His balance could be totally shot a la holyfield for all we know. That jones fight was a sparring session, it doesn't give us a lot of info on tyson current form

I know people hate Jake Paul. I'm not a fan of his but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying the circus. I'm an MMA and Boxing fan. And understand we can't say one is better than the other. The same way baseball is not better than basketball. It's apples and oranges. I can be a fan of many sports. But there are delusional mma fans that think strikers in mma can compete with pro boxers in the ring. For me what Paul is doing is a slap in the face on the UFC and Dana White. A guy who once called boxing a dead sport. Has witnessed a youtuber with no Boxing background knock two of his former champions out cold. Call the wrestlers, call them shot but at the end of a day the Paul bros are not pro fighters. So yeah its embarrassing.

It Actually DID Give REED Some Info on Tyson's Current Form...

Pains REED to Admit it, but Tyson CARRIED Roy; Could've WRECKED Roy if He Wanted To...Instead, Mike Respectfully Threw NATHAN Hard to the Head and Landed 3/4th Shots to the Body...

Jake Paul is Still DISCOVERING His Cardio Capacity and it's HIGHLY Doubtful He Could Move as Much as an Old, BLOATED Roy Jones Did for 8 Rounds, w/Out Gassing BIGTIME...

Jake Paul AIN'T Beating Mike Tyson Anytime Sooooon Bruh, If EVER...And REED Ain't Being the Least Bit Nostalgic Either...

    Honestly, REED Ain't Mad @ Jake Paul...REED Doesn't Knock Jake Paul's Hustle @ All...

If BOXERS Gave Fans the Fights we WANTED, There'd Be NO ROOM for Jake Paul Clown Fights...The "Machine" Behind Jake Paul AIN'T Stupid; They Scan the Big Fight Boxing Schedule and Plan HIS Fights on Dates That Don't Conflict w/Boxing Matches That Actually MOVE the Needle...

As Poorly as Crawford-Porter or Tank-Cruz Did in Terms of PPV Buys, There was a 0% Chance of a Jake Paul Fight ATTEMPTING to Compete w/Those...

Spence-Crawford's Been Dangled for YEARS Now...Tank/Dev/KingRy/'Fimo Have Twitter Beefed for YEARS Now...If Elite Boxers Consistently Made the Fights We WANT to See, There'd Be Little to No Room for Clown Fights...

    Hard to say.

Age definitely matters. A guy Ive known forever who saw Holyfield and Riddick Bowe work out less than a year ago told me, in pretty convincing terms, that me currently in my mid 30s 15 years removed from amateur boxing 175 LBS not in shape could probably beat them.

I don't think age has affected Tyson that much... but at some point it definitely matters.

Tyson did look pretty good though vs Roy.

What did the odds close at?

Fight odds are determined by betting public.

On MMA forums 90% did have Chavez... but anyone who knew anything and took more than 2 seconds to look at it had it more as a pickem..

It's the eye test. JCC Jr has been very very bad for 5 to 10 years...

I think it should be said that while the boxing community tends to see Jake as the 'better' of the two, it was widely established before they turned pro that Logan was far better, and it stayed that way until KSI beat Logan. Which brings me to my main point, I really wouldn't mind these sorts of events if they were what they originally were. Two YOUTUBERS fight, not a YouTuber fighting MMA fighters and basketball players pretending to be a real fighter.

It's mad I was like 14 when this shit started :Jest:

Look at these Hardy bucks, they've the real belts and if you're needing one they're just up the road from Cousin Roy I think.

That was hilarious. Any of those guys related to Billy Jo? Remember before the Canelo fight he claimed he came from a long line of bare nuckle champions. 500 years was it? Then quits on his stool

The thing about BJ is that he's just as much a pussy to Fury as Broner is to Floyd.

He's playing the part of the big time hard man, he's a leaf in a tornado that thinks he's the vortex and he's not, he's just being blown around in it.

Gotcha makes sense. Fury got my respect though. He walked into a tornado(Wilder) x2 and withered the storm. He's no pussy. Not many men would get up from Wilders punches. His power is freakish.

Since they shared a fight card together, Jake Paul could totally make a match with Triple D
