What would you say is the absolute best case scenario for the fighter he becomes? What's the worst case?

His peak is Carlos and his floor is Victor

He has virtually no chance of being as great as Carlos, a top 5-10 all time Latin fighter.

And he already showed against Mean Machine that he's mentally tougher than Victor. You can just tell in interviews that he's a lot more stable than Victor.

Verg Will Win @ Least 1 World Title, Worst Case Scenario...He's THAT Good...

Not Sure WHAT Title or WHO He Beats, But That's a GIVEN in REED's Opinion....In Fact, If He Could've Stayed @ '40 Looooong Enough, Verg Might Have ALREADY Won a Title By Now...

If Verg and Jose Ramirez Didn't Have the Same Trainer, That's a WINNABLE Fight @ '40, for Sure...And We Saw How Verg-Reese Hooker Played Out Also...Nonetheless, Verg Sr. is Like 6'1 - 6'2, 200+ Pounds, So Jr. was/is GROWING and Had to Move Up...w/That Established, REED Could See Verg as High as '60 Before he Calls it Quits...

So REED's Predicting 2 World Titles MINIMUM for Verg, Knowing it COULD Have Been 3, Counting '40....

Seems reasonable to believe he'll pick up titles at 147-154.

160 is still way way too premature to say. Traditionally, its always difficult for welterweights to attain success at 160, unless they're generational type guys (Leonard, Hearns, Robinson).

But he seems to have a frame that will carry 154.

Isn't Ramirez trained by Garcia? And according to Robert him and Virgil went their separate ways. If that's true it could be a blessing in disguise since in my opinion Robert is more of an offensive coach. His training style makes for exciting fights but his fighters usually lack defense. And the rumor is Virgil may be joining team Canelo. Eddie could help since on his fight with mean machine he looked very hittable. Here is a clip of Robert speaking on their split.

Make no mistake, Reyneso is an offensively-minded coach too.

He isn't wrong though. A Robert Garcia fighter never met a punch they could avoid.

    Reyneso is a step up.

I think Eddie has shown he can improve fighters. With Canelo its obvious they have worked on thier defense in recent years as you seldomly see Canelo get clipped cleanly and even when he does he has the ability to roll and absorb the punches. Of course he's an offensive minded coach he's Mexican. But doesn't teach his fighters that traditional all balls out style other Mexican trainers bring. A good example of this improved Canelo is his fight against Danny Jacobs something we didn't see in previous fights which was a much improved head movement. Not a knock on Robert who seems to be a solid trainer but sometimes changes can be good for a fighter.

Yeah he seems to attract those "cholo" type guys who grin when they get smashed in the face.
