I think mosley is a big favorite. He could do something similar to taylor, but he's more durable, so i dont think chavez would be able to make his comeback

I dunno about "big favorite" but Shane definitely has some significant style advantages in his favor.

I just noticed something... these last few days we've been talking nothing but Shane, Roy, and Tito.

    2001 is back.

Mosley never lost to a hispanic in his prime and Chavez would be no different. In fact Mosley often beat Mexican fighters in two ways.

He would out Mexican them by fighting an offense heavy, borderline brawling style that most American fighters would eventually wilt against under guys like Chavez. But like JoM mentioned, Mosley’s durability was not only off the charts but he seemed to relish a battle of toughness and his underrated durability may have actually been his most consistent and reliable trait, as it really only let him down once.

The second way Mosley beat Mexican fighters was his patented body attack. Mosley knew you could pound most tough Mexican fighters in the face all day and they’d keep coming but by you mixing in a consistent body attack he was eventually able to break them down. It was a technique he abandoned later but at 135 it was as much a part of his style as his fast hands were. So I imagine he would have used it successfully against Chavez.

Chávez is more skillful and while Mosley was awesome at 135, he wasn’t fighting high calibers guys. Nobody close to a Julio Cesar Chavez.

I see a close decision either way. Chavez had one helluva chin and Mosley pre-Forrest let his hands go a lot.

    Lean slightly towards Mosley.
