We haven't done it awhile. Only thing for certain is that it isn't going the distance. Tito, the greater fighter, but I've always been of the opinion that Jackson is just too strong with too much firepower for Tito at junior middle. Julian inside of 6, but if anyone makes a Trinidad case, I can understand.
A true fire fight. Even though I do think Trinidad is the better technician, I think Jackson gets there first. Jackson KO 5
I have never bought into the idea of Trinidad being a 'slow starter'. To me, he took his time, which is what you are supposed to do. And he has enough early kos to suggest that sometimes he could take his time in a hurry. I have been watching a lot of him lately and I think that the reason for some of the early knockdowns that he suffered was that it took him a minute to get his mind into the fight, because it seemed like going down was a wake up call for him. He would be going through the motions physically and setting up and studying what he planned to do, but he wasn't aware of what the other guy was looking to do. A lapse like that would mean the end of the fight against a guy like Jackson. But if Trinidad fights smart, which he was certainly capable of doing, and uses his jab and right hand to set up his hook, this is a fight that he should win.
hard to ignore mccallum/jackson here. then again, trinidad wasn't hard to find. and nor did he have a chin as good as mccallum's.
I'm actually one of those that thinks Trinidad takes out Jackson within 6 rounds. A real explosive match up where I can see both fighters hurt early on. Trinidad's the better boxer and also smarter fighter though and at some point he will land that left hook that will fold Jackson before Jackson can land his left.
I always thought that Tito would suffer a 2nd round KD like he often did. But this time, it would get stopped as he gets up on very wobbly legs.
