Oscar by controversial decision. There would be a quite a few instances where Oscar throws a flurry and Starling uses his defense to block most of the punches. The crowd and Jim Lampley would go nuts. While Starling would block most of it, some punches would get through, whether grazing or more clean. And you could legitimately argue either way that Oscar fairly won a close round from the flurry, or that it wasn’t enough. Oscar would win a couple rounds due to these flurries, and ultimately get the decision because of it.
Starling could win this fight because he will block a lot and make Oscar miss a lot. If he punches back, he can win. If he makes faces and dances instead of punching.....Marlon was a good fighter but my lasting impression of him will always be watching him try as hard as he could to lose the second Breland fight.
Starling is a winnable fight for Oscar if he uses the Trinidad fight strategy. But its Oscar. He might fight the wrong fight cuz he's an idiot.
