I see it similarly. Ricky had trouble with southpaws, I see him having rough moments early on, but recovering and getting stronger as the fight goes on. Hatton’s quick feet would enable him to close the distance and get to Zab. Zab’s output would lower as he goes into a shell, looking for one shot that probably never comes.
Agreed. Zab was all talent and zero substance. He was a mental midget who had any self belief in himself beaten out of him over his loser career. We’re talking about a guy who lost to some of the worst bums and mismatched opponents for a fighter of his overrated caliber, ever. So yeah, Hatton would have won this pretty easily. Zab would have been content potshotting and taking punishment to the end bell while relishing in the so called toughness compliments that would have come his way during the beating. Good for you Zab, you took your hypothetical beating like a man.
