Problem is, you're talking about a fighter who doesn't exist. There's no such thing as a Golota with his head screwed on. It's like saying: "As long as Khan's chin is solid in this fight..."
I think this fight comes down to how Tommy approaches it. If he comes out guns blazing, I think his handspeed and power would probably overwhelm Golota. If he tries to box Golota, he'd get picked apart from the outside.
Agreed with X, ironically if he came in like he did against Bentt going for the first round KO, he wins, if he tried to fight him like Foreman he gets jabbed out
I’m gonna go with Tommy. He’d approach it knowing Golota is fragile mentally and he’d let his hands go early and often. Morrison KO 3
I'd take Morrison too. Hand-speed and combinations just seemed to baffle Golota early and his chin weren't great. An inshape Morrison would KO him in a couple of rounds. If he's piss poor and hasn't trained, then he's in for either a long night of hurt or a brutal KO. Golota had the higher ceiling IMO.
I'll go with Morrison as well but it could go multiple ways. I don't gamble but i'm guessing this is one where the odds and "the line" moves around a lot from the time the fight is announced right up until the last second.
This is a fun fight because both of these guys have ways to win and both could fall apart if things start to go wrong. Morrison should win but it's not a sure thing. Golota hit hard enough to get Tommy in trouble and he worked well behind that jab. If Morrison doesn't get him out early he's in trouble.
Tough fight to pick because both guys are shaky. I’m actually leaning towards Tommy because he’s more resilient. His win over Hipp is one of the gutsiest I’ve seen, he suffered a broken jaw and broken hand and still won. He rallied from knockdowns to beat Williams & Ruddock (even though I didn’t like the stoppage). Golota might bomb him out, but I’ll pick Tommy to rally from some knockdowns and make Golota implode/quit.
