Can you think of any fights where they were stopped after 3 kds in a round but the fighter wasn't seriously hurt?
Benn-Barkley came to mind immediately. Fuckin bullshit. The 3 KD rule robbed us of a probable classic.
Wow just watched it for the first time. What a war that was shaping up to be. Bullshit stoppage especially considering barkley was hit hard when he was down on the first two kds. Ref was an idiot. He should have gotten 5 minutes to recover at the very least on at least one of those fouls.

It’s always annoyed me how refs so often do nothing when fighters hit dropped opponents on the canvas (aka pulling a Terry Norris). When a guy gets hurt by the foul, or pretends to be hurt, then the fighter gets punished by the foul. Otherwise, they usually just get warnings, if at that. Lennox Lewis hit Mike Acey with a 3 piece combo when he was down and just got a warning. Zab Judah dropped David Sample, paused, and must have waited for about 2 seconds and then hit him again. Take a point away.
