Very sad news, he must have been knocking on for 90 though? Truly excellent little fighter, just a no-frills workmanlike, intelligent technician who was more than the sum of his parts. The Ebihara fights were very skilled, intense tussles both and razor close. Always felt Ebihara was unlucky not to take at least one of them but they were similar qualities of fighter imo. The last time I watched Accavallo though was when the very skilled and talented Tanabe beat the brakes off him but had to retire with eye trouble not long after. Tanabe was one of the what ifs of the sport who rarely gets talked about tbh, he looks like a great fighter against Accavallo. Accavallo would've decisioned Chionoi imo in a good, competitive fight.
