Hall of Fame is sham. Those clueless goobers probably will vote him in because he was popular, a heavyweight, and knocked people out.

In Wilder's defense what he meant to say the hall of fame of Alabama. His statue is on full display in Taskaloosa right next to Forrest Gump and Honey Booboo child.

    Wilder's acceptance speech...

"First off I'd like to thank all the common people. ... all the construction workers...all the delivery drivers... all the crossing guards... without you all I wouldn't have that impressive of a record...

Jokes aside if a club fighter like Gatti can make the HOF then I believe Wilder can too.A long time ago saying a fighter is a hall of famer used to mean a whole lot more. If Rocky(a fictional movie character) can get in the hall of fame then anybody can. If steroid cheats(ya'll must have forgot) can get in the HOF then it's no more then a ripleys wax museum/popularity contest. Other hall of fames are way more strict with who they let in. Even Pete Rose(a degenerate gambler) was denied entry in the baseball hof.

Gatti dont belong either but Compare Gatti's resume to wilders

    Gatti defeated:

    Tracy Harris Patterson
    Gabe Ruelas
    Leonard Dorin
    James Leija.

wilder dont measure up to that

Gatti was a sympathetic figure, though. Blood and guts warrior, good tv fighter, likeable guy, memorable trilogy(Though overrated), tragic ending.

Wilder isn’t any of those things. I think he’d have to at least win a title again, and beat either Usyk or Fury to have a shot at getting in, and I don’t think he can beat Usyk. We already know what happened with Fury.

A history of bias. That’s what all self anointed HOF’s have in common.

    Wilder will get in.

He held the heavyweight title for too many consecutive years not to get in. Of course, his entire reign came over cans, but the HOF don't care.

Wilder's a lock to get in.

If he were a middleweight or welterweight he wouldn't make it.

Being a heavyweight puncher who held a belt for years will get him in.

He's right about being a Hall of Famer, but he's on the lower level of HOF status. He'll get in because of his number of KOs and his fights with Fury.

They don't care about his shit resume.

Like I said, the fact that he's American, a former heavyweight champion, had mainstream fame, and had infamous power... he's a lock.

Exactly. I dont think hes totally underserving of the hof. Held the title for a long time (yeah his opponents werent much), and had an epic serie of fights with fury. Getting a draw with fury (even if a bit underserved) is huge

I dont even know what qualifies one for the HOF all I know is if you go through a real HOFemers record you will run into a name and think who the fuck is that?? And it's understandable everyone deserves an easier fight here and there.. however Wilders record is nothing but that!

Yeah but its the hw division no exactly a breeding ground for talent. It's not like the 70's, 80s and 90's the golden era for the hw division. So for that reason only Wilder probably gets in.

To be honest Wilder will get in not because the HoF is a joke, but because the sport of boxing is a joke. If it wasn't, clowns like Joshua and Wilder wouldn't have been amongst it's biggest draws (and Jake Paul lol).

Though I got to admit, Wilder's puch and heart makes him fun to watch and would make him a threat even against good fighters. Nonetheless, he shouldn't be anywhere close to the HoF. More like a Friday night fights favorite or something similar.

Not surprised. Wilder's buzz and maintainstream appeal are dead post-Fury.

For huge fights at Barclays, I either go, or I know someone who's going.

I never once for a second considered buying tix, and no one I know has a uttered a word about this one.
