I always felt Kovalev had a solid chin but like you said he wasnt training the same and it was more mental. But yeah the second Ward fight was hardly what I would call a knockout. Horrible job by Weeks.
Hi I'm meettgefeebles. I like to tear apart resumes of fighters even though people have been doing it for the past 20 years and it's predictable on how it's done. I also can't comprehend the concept that the "prime age" of a fighter can have many variables. Such as rounds fought, when they turned pro, how many amateur fights, the fact that everyone's body ages at a different rate, how many beatings took. That in boxing, you may be at your peak physically, but a fighter may not peak as a fighter after honing their skills. I thought I was going to hit puberty exactly on my 12th bday cuz a textbook said so. When I know that I'm having my ass handed to me, I resort to saying "this is a grown man saying this" repeatedly because I know I have nothing else. I'm very sad and I'm a furry. I have 2 litter boxes.
Texmex asked a valid question that everyone seems to be avoiding. When was the last time you saw a 5"8 fighter fight at the elite level at 175 and beat a champion. So he lost to Bivol is anyone surprised? He took a shot a fell flat on his face but dusted himself off and got back on the saddle again. Those are all good qualities. Dared to be great just like DLH. You win some you lose some. But thanks to Mayweather and his fake 50-0 record everyone has been duped to think that if you lose a fight or two youre suddenly an overrated bum. So annoying dealing with that type of boxing fan.
