Pipino Cuevas vs Paul Williams @ WW

How do you see this match up to between the murderous punching Cuevas against the nonstop punching Williams? Does Williams’ leaky defense leave him open to be knocked out by Cuevas or could Williams punish Cuevas enough to a stoppage?

 

Paul gets hit too much.

 

Cuevas would land too many winging left hooks

 

I don't know if Williams is "made to order" but for a guy who likes to mix it up and is always in range it has to favor Cuevas.

 

First call is that williams is too hittable to win this, but he had a great chin (the martinez ko was an absolute bomb,) so he might have a shot

 

It'd be a stretch to say Paul has no chance. But his lack of D favors PC.

 

Pipino Cuevas was far from unbeatable- there are several ways in which it could have been done.
But staying right there and punching with him wouldn't be any place near the top of the list.
