What's going on with Jermall Charlo?

It's already been a year since his last fight. He's already 32 about to be 33. Why is this guy wasting his prime and his career? He should be facing GGG, Lara, Janibek, Adames.

 

He's a coward begging for a Canelo payday. But Canelo is out for another year, so who knows what Charlo will do next.

Won't be fighting a quality guy, that we know.

So it sounds like he’s heading towards the same direction as Adrien Broner. If they’re going to keep Charlo as a MW champ at least make him fight someone worth a damn.

That excuse works only to a certain extent. Like I said before, I have first-hand knowledge. I went through it with my kid's mother, and still do "till this DAY."

But I'm not strung out on pills and liquor like Jermall is.

PLENTY of dudes I know are going through this. Most stay clean and quiet. Know why? Because we all know damn well that going down Jermall's path will have that judge saying that the kids are unfit to be around you.

So, no excuse. Jermall needs to get his fuckin act together. A lot of women are evil, but you can't allow it to ruin you.

 

I would feel bad if this was happening to some nice guy. Like I had sympathy for Shane being controlled by a woman, because Shane is a good dude.

Jermall is an asshole, so I don't have much pity.

Jermell: “Like they’re trying to strip me. I think that he surrounded himself with the wrong people. I think also when you live off of something that’s like that makes you have to bounce back; if you’re going to bounce back, go ahead and bounce back and fight for that every day.

“Let that be your fight. So if there’s anything wrong with him, it’s the fact that you can’t be content with having the issue other than fixing the issue. So, I think my brother is around who you surround yourself with, who’s there in your ear trying to push you to get better or get off of that level that you at and push you back where you need to be.”


Brian: “You think he’ll come back?”

Jermell: “Truthfully, I really don’t know because I’m not in his household; I don’t talk to him every day. We kind of get into it. Every other year, we don’t ever seem to see eye to eye on certain things, but I wish my brother the best. I hope he bounces back.

“He’s got a family to feed, a lot of children to take care of, bills to pay, and a life to live. So, I don’t want it to be when it’s all said and done, everyone in the family coming to me to ask for some bread.

“They need to be going to ask Jermall, but I’m going to be doing everything that I can. In my moment, I got to assist that, and this is it. So if this is what I got to go through, I got to go through it.

“I do wish him the best. I do hope he bounces back, but to answer that question, it’s going to be really tough for me to answer.”

Well, we dont reallt learn anything about what mall is going through, but it does seems like a sad story

To the point though, yeah Jermell basically confirmed that Mall is finished, but it's been apparent for awhile now that Mall is finished.

There will be no Plant fight. If Mall wanted to settle that beef, there would be zero stopping it. It could have been made official by now.

Plant would have no problem taking the fight. PBC/Showtime would love to air that fight because it would do good numbers. So, the only thing preventing it is the fact that Mall doesn't want smoke with Plant.

Doubt we ever see him in the ring again.
