It’s already been 40 years since the great Salvador Sanchez’s faced up and coming fighter Azumah Nelson, who would end up becoming a great fighter himself. This was one of the most memorable fights of the 80s with nonstop action. It would also be Sanchez’s last fight before his untimely death but what a fight it was.
I'm happy with Azumah, for his career, the man he is, and what he means to everybody from the African continent. God bless him on the fortieth anniversary of this epic fight. I understand up there in heaven that the best Mexican fighter of all time Salvador Sanchez is smiling especially inside the way in which Azumah Nelson’s profession honors the career of Sanchez.
