We very often talk about guys who had short, yet brilliant primes, I.E. Tyson and Pryor, but how about guys who had long, solid primes, but were never great at any point? Who comes to mind?
Btw, we'll stipulate a "long" prime as 4 years or more. Genaro Hernandez would be an example. Consistently very good throughout the 90s, but wasn't quite good enough to be considered a great.
In more recent years, Danny Garcia comes to mind. Stayed a good fighter for a very long time, but simply lacked the ability to be a true true elite in the sport.
I’d go with Cotto. Very good but short of great. Yeah he had highs and lows but remained close to the top for a long while.
Actually, there is a HOFmer who fits well here. Daniel Zaragoza. Long, good prime, but never a great. I dunno why TF he's in the Hall, but whatever.

Judah actually belongs here. Zab's prime lasted nearly a decade, I would say 99-07. After the beating Cotto gave him in 07 he was the never the same again.
