Who wins this interesting match up @ WW? Does Bud have the skills and ability to beat a dangerous boxer-puncher like The Viper?
I'd honestly go with Forrest. I consider Crawford and Spence top guys by THIS era's standards. I consider 2001 Mosley a helluva lot better than Crawford. Crawford hasn't faced anyone that would give me confidence in picking him over Vern.
Exactly this. A fighter can look like an ATG, but without proof it doesn't mean anything. Crawford's resume is severely limited Mosley also looked like a guy who should have trashed Forrest
I edited my post. I would pick Forrest. There's just more evidence for it. Crawford has done little, and it sucks to say that, because I'm a fan. His career defining win is Porter. Sad.
Mind you, Forrest wasn't Leonard or Hearns, so it's not like I'm ruling Bud's chances out. But logic would favor Forrest. Every single opponent that Bud has beaten in his career, Forrest would be a HUGE favorite over.
True. It's the same thing with Forrest. Every single Crawford victim, Mosley would be an overwhelming favorite against. While Shane whipped prime versions of Oscar and Margarito, and Crawford is hardly a lock over either of those guys.
Crawford is better than Forrest. He hasn't really shown it vs his opposition and Forrest is a bit bigger, but id pick Crawford at 140 or 147 Crawford vs mosley at welter would have been explosive. Mosley had faster hands but Crawford is smarter to me
