It's more than Mickey Ward got paid Vs Gatti first time out. That's my point....over here figures of £5,£8m are being bandied about.
PPV fight numbers are not shared publicly until after the fight due to their sensitive nature and potential impact on fighters, promoters, broadcasters, and the stock market. The numbers are typically released several days after the fight, once the promoters and broadcasters have had time to analyze the data and manage any potential negative impacts. The exact timeframe can vary, but it is usually within a week of the fight. So its difficult to know what they made.
According to the comms in the UK, that YouTube bum got seven million for that garbage. Seven fucking million dollars. Absolute nonsense. Two roid-fuelled bums throwing haymakers wildly at each other while morons whoop and holla. Pathetic. MTF
Gatti and Ward got paid boatload of money for their trilogy. Poor comparison even though, yes it's awful the attention and money those 2 bums got
I'm not arguing that they deserved more than Gatti/Ward. It sucks that these barely pros got more. I actually believe Ward got less because he made a career high of 1 million for the third and final fight. Remember reading that a lot before the fight and being happy for him. Gatti must have made 20 million in earnings from HBO, including the Floyd PPV. Ward was the obvious B side and wasn't paid nearly as much.
500 k ppv buys allegedly for this fiasco. At $20 per in UK and $50 per here So it generated 8 or 10 million bucks off ppv plus whatever exorbitant site fee the Saudis gave them
Jake Paul now blames wet dreams as the reason he lost to Tommy Fury. Funniest excuse I’ve heard since Wilder’s heavy costume. Jake Paul sinks to new low by blaming wet dream for Tommy Fury defeat
