Fighters always say they’re not going to box for that much longer. Oscar was supposed to retire by 30 and be an architect. Juan Diaz was supposed to retire young and do something with his college degree. SRL & Floyd always said they would retire early. Hopkins was supposed to retire by 40 because he promised his mom.

Then they get hooked on the money and rush and fight until they’re old and a shell of their former selves.

I don’t like Garcia’s chances either. He has this sort of stiff stand up style that I think will do him in.

Ryan ain't retiring any time soon. Child support is expensive. He's gonna be around until his 30s.

Nah, it makes a lot of sense to be mad at a cherrypicker getting a jackpot fight he doesn't deserves. But I don't really agree that it applies to Garcia in this case. While not having a stacked resume, Fortuna and Campbell are decent wins and the kid is only 24. I guess we'll only know his true intents (cashing out or trying to prove himself) afterward or maybe even only in a few years.

Garcia is the pussy yet Tank had to have a catch weight AND rehydration clause even though he's fought at 140 before.

Cash out? Now? At age 24? With an undefeated record and millions of followers? I wouldn't want you to be my financial advisor.

Cheat? They are both undergoing VADA testing. I don't see Garcia being a fat fuck like Tank in between fights. Also, he's 24, he's naturally getting bigger and stronger. If he was roiding he wouldn't have been able to agree to catch weight AND stipulation clause, he'd be looking to move up to 147.

You're post has just been torn the fuck up.

Tank’s street thug act just makes me want to see him get a beat down more and more every day.

I'm going with Garcia. He's a mood fighter and I truly believe if he can get into a groove and ride out rough patches or avoid them entirely he'll win this.

I think we should avoid confusing a pussy social media lifestyle with his form in the ring. He ate a monster shot to come back and stop Campbell who IMHO is better than anyone Tank has beaten.

LSC? Dude went Life-and-Death twice with Carl Frampton who was simply never on this level either in terms of talent or size. I don't take anything away from how TD despatched him but the issue is that LSC is not a guy who should be putting his hands on you if you're real good.

It's Tank in 4,5 or Garcia W12. I think he's slick enough to leave Tank sucking air after a few rounds.

I just don't see Garcia being this guy who is suddenly found out like Panchito Bojado or has innate flaws like Raul Marquez where his face is going to fall off.

He's got to box competently and essentially avoid one big punch, the left uppercut. Tank is a strong square dude so Garcia has got to pop him and do what Oscar did vs Tito just pop-pop-pop and move off. Garcia can't be looking for single left hooks to end it. He needs to use that to chasten Tank, make him hesitant, not try to blow him out with it.

I can see Tank being in love with his power and fall into a routine of just ploddishly pursuing Garcia convinced he can undig the big hole he's in with one Hail Mary.

Ryan will need to come with a really good jab. If he does, he has a chance at luring Tank into wild lunges and which will make his check left hook effective. My concern is that at some point he’ll run into something big and his chin will have to be up to the task.

Either way, I’m riding with Ryan for this one. I’m not making any bets but I hope and PRAY he pulls this one off.

I think Ryan is a nice likeable guy. I also think he needs to get out of boxing sooner than later.

Unfortunately I also have strong Arguello Vs Pryor vibes about this one. Not saying either man is as good, but Davis has that street animal "quality" about him.

Garcia is a bit "by numbers". He has a few moves under his belt and he kind of does them one at a time. If I was him, as you say, I'd just pump my jab for 5,6 rounds before I tried any of that other fancy stuff.

Exactly. Look at Roy, in interviews he spoke about boxers before him that fought too long and how he wouldn’t allow himself to ever do that..
