Id pick benavidez but his story still being written. Froch was way overrated to me but his durability and size pose threats
I agree 100% with the second sentence. Froch has become overrated. I'm not sure who I'd pick though, cause like you said David's story is still being written. What I do know is that Benavidez would have a big edge on the inside. Froch couldn't infight to save his life. At mid- to long-range, Froch would be very dangerous. I just thought this matchup was fair because what it is apparent is that Benavidez would get his ass handed to him by a Jones, Toney, and Ward.
Froch takes this one and will punish Benavidez down the stretch. He thrived on aggression and Benavidez isn’t too hard to hit. It’ll be a hard fought battle with Froch emerging victorious.
Froch's durability is the key for me. I think he stands up to Benavidez's power and takes a hard earned decision. Benavidez will definitely press the action but he isn't going to be able to just walk through the Farmer's power. I think Froch takes enough early rounds and makes it a tougher fight down the stretch than Benavidez is used to having.
Some guy on Eastside said that Plant is better than anyone Froch ever beat. And that's why I spend most of time here.
Plant reminds me of malignaggi. Nice fast hands, but no real power and no real skills to fall back on when his opponent can handle his speed
Plant does have more pop in his left hook than Paulie ever had, but that's the only thing I would give him over Paulie. Malignaggi had more skill, a better chin, a higher ring IQ, and a much better resume of wins. Plant's best win was an 8-4 decision over Uzcat. Paulie's 12-0 win over Ndou was far more impressive. Then you factor in wins over Judah, Baby Cow, Cherry, Senchenko... Paulie's resume just blows Plant's away. You also didn't see Paulie getting the shit kicked outta him by him Cotto saying: "You're pretty good, Miguel. Am I good?"
VERY Intriguing Matchup... What We DO Know Is, Froch WOULDN'T Yield Late, Wouldn't FOLD Mentally, as Plant Did...Would Be Interesting to See Who Got the BETTER of Punching Exchanges, Because There'd Be Plenty of Them...2 Offensive Minded Fighters Who Get HIT... REED Has a Hunch Benavidez Would Win Via Superior Handspeed/Combination Punching, But He's Tooooo Much of an Unknown Quantity @ This Point, to Favor Over Froch w/Any Degree of Confidence... REED
