True, but apart from Romero, all of the guys Tank knocked at 135 were on the small side for lw. Garcia is huge compared to him and I think his gameplan will be to clinch in close and not come in recklessly (like Romero did). Tank recent performances have been poor imo and I don't think it's a good idea for him to bank on his power bailing him out in this fight.

We'll talk about it in the year 2040. Remember that time double L picked Garcia over Davis?

(actually it will only be brought up if you're wrong)

It's a hard one to pick because neither of them have fought proper, top level opposition. We really don't know how good they are. I'm sure it has been said on this thread but Garcia really leaves his chin out there when throwing those hooks. His hooks have serious damage potential so he will, and should, throw them, but you have to expect Tank to time one of them at some point if he isn't taken out beforehand. I'll go Tank late stoppage but with next to zero confidence on that pick.

Both under 136. Both in great shape. Tank pushed Ryan and Ryan pushed him back.

Tank running his mouth about Hopkins. He better watch out. B-Hop might be 100 years old, but he would still lay that lil fuckin midget out.

Screamin A Smith asked Iron Mike what's his favorite career KO, and Mike said the Pinklon Thomas fight. I agree. I also think that's his best KO.

Can't believe Tank was talking shit to & about B-hop. I don't care if Hop was instigating, you respect legends. He should of either ignored him, or laughed it off.

That and him saying he hasn't watched an Ali fight speaks volumes.

DAZN or Showtime, which app you all ordering on and why?

That's were I'm leaning. DAZN is trying to get more buys by giving a month sub for free.

I thing the production and commentary will be better on Showtime. But the biggest factor is I remember DAZN looking like it was barely HD, probably 720p. Screw that.

I'll throw my hat in, too.

I'm thinking one of two things is gonna happen and both come down to how Garcia fights. The first is Garcia comes in hot and fast, looking for a knockout. In this case, I'm thinking Garcia catches Tank at some point and startles him. Tank gets in his groove and times Garcia with a huge left hand and knocks him out.

The second is that Garcia is no longer happy with going gung-ho after his incident with Campbell and he tries to box his way to a win. He fails, simply because his defence and his jab both suck, and Davis times him and crushes him.

I doubt this is gonna be the same Davis who showed up against Rolly or Gamboa. This should be the best Davis we've ever seen, and even if it's not, I doubt Garcia has the chin to win.

    Davis TKO6.

I can't read these guys...I don't know which 1 winning is better for boxing, who is more likely to fight the Haney v Loma winner or Shakur? Move up to 140 fight top guys there? Both are strawberries imo...

And if Ryan is to pull off the upset he has to be IRON like the soviets in Stalingrad not one step back, he needs to be moving forward or stationary countering. If he has to move laterally he's fucked...and backward? Even worse..he's like Rahman in the Lewis rematch...the only thing he can do is put his hands in front to block punches...look at his fights.

The sad truth about Garcia is that, lets face it, he's talented but he's also a bit of a leap amateur.

The way he drops both his hands all the time with his chin up, particularly when opening up, is just classic leap amateur technique that a decent boxer will see. test, time and execute on. Tank may or may not be the guy to do it, but I suspect he will. Garcia also fights short a lot of the time for a tall guy. I can't see him being disciplined enough to fight smart and win off the front foot with his 1-2.

Tank is a much better boxer than given credit for.
Yeah,..he is at a size, height and reach disadvantage.
But he has that “dog” in him that I don’t think Garcia has.
Barring catching Davis with something big early…Davis clocks him inside of 8 imo
