Question, was Mike Tyson’s prime short? His prime was around 86-91 and his peak probably 88’. Manny Steward said he never expected Tyson to be that successful after 25 due to his style.
I think we need to define "short." Guys like Tyson and Pryor are thought to have "short" primes, but 3 years of true dominance in boxing is pretty good. Plus both Tyson and Pryor had styles that were always gonna be most effective in their early 20s. Nunn and Taylor are good examples. They each only had like 2 year primes. Pavlik also comes to mind. His prime was only 06-07.
