Is Haney allowed to weigh in 36 + hours before the fight and to enter the ring as a super middleweight? Because the 20+ pounds may help him. If it was same day weigh in, haney would faint right after the 3rd round. If he only had 24 hours to rehydrate he would still be 10 pounds- at least- heavier but I think that Chavez could overcome that. If you want to match a "lightweight" that fights at 158, match him with Hagler or Julian Jackson or Mike Mccallum or James Toney. You would figure out right away how the stupid weigh in games make barely mediocre fighters look like more than they are.
This. Weight wouldn't matter. Haney was getting rocked by tiny Loma. Chavez was a bigger man than Loma, with far more firepower. Those body shots Haney was landing on Loma would merely tickle JCC. JCC executes Haney inside of 6.
The only "shot" he'd have is lasting the distance but he would have to run constantly and then hold immediately when Chavez got inside. He'd also need a ref that would allow it.
This Would Get UGLY Late.... Chavez Would Make Dev PAY for All the Shit Bill Talked in the Build-Up, TRAPPING Dev In His Own Corner, Beating the Shit Out of Him, Glaring @ Bill in the Process... Best Case Scenario for Dev is a Broner-Maidana Styled Ass Whipping... REED
