Taylor vs Teo: Final Predictions

What are the chances do you think? They postponed some sports but the Yankees are still playing though.

 

Just saw the press conference. Taylor looks significantly bigger and taller. Teo is starting to remind me of Rolly. I don’t typically change picks but I am starting to lose confidence in my prediction for some reason.

Anyhow, Teo via UD is still my call.

 

I watched the PC too. Teo looks fake confident and sounds like he's completely lost the fucking plot.

 

It'll be fine. I was just in NYC this morning. The air quality is better than it was yesterday. We had the worst air quality in the world yesterday.

The fight will go on, unless a MASSIVE smoke cloud comes in on Saturday. I don't think so, but I can't predict these things.

 

Not so much where the judges are from as where they wanna get an invite back to judge again.

 

I don't know how anyone can watch the presser and still hold the opinion that Teo is some "real" dude. One minute he's talking about taking Taylor's life, the next he's saying he's who kids should aspire to be like, then he's talking absolutely madness about the realm between the Heavens and Earth.

Dude is a fucking confused lunatic. I don't usually judge how a fight will play out based on a press conference, but Teo's mental state screams of a guy who's gonna fall apart if Taylor takes his best shots and still pressuring him.

 

Taylor said Teo was dressed like "Tony Montana from Wish."

 

Just for fun I’ve bet 1$ on that to win 81$. I’ve also bet 1$ on Taylor Ko 1 to win 101$. I like to take these extremely unlikely bets for chump change. It adds to the fun of watching fights.

 

I just rewatched Taylor and Catterall and it’s really alarming at how rather EASY it was for Catterall to neutralize him with a jab, inside spoiling, and stepping around. Taylor just has no head movement and his footwork is good but certainly not Lomachenko level or anything…I don’t know. I don’t like Teo’s demeanor and he seems to not be in a good place mentally since the Kambosos fight, which makes me wonder how he’ll hold up mentally if Taylor can make it a dog fight.

But I can’t help but feel if Catterall can do what he did, that Teo should have the physical talent to do the same and more…

 

Oh don't get me wrong, I think the guy is unintelligent and legit fucked in the head. I don't think he s faking it (just a major weirdo).

 

This is all true, but I don't think we should expect the Catt version of Taylor on Sat. Nor should we expect the Martin version of Teo.

Both guys figure to be sharper than those flat performances.

I'll take Taylor by Decision. If Teo loses I think that is it for his "career". I think a loss for Teo a guy with his mental issues is not something he can recover from.

Yeah. It's a bit like Ward Vs Gatti....both guys have enough talent to expose the limitations in the other guy. Yet both guys are limited enough not to be able to expose the other guys limitations fully, if that makes sense.

Both guys could be on the verge of getting stopped for long periods and before you know it it's gone to the cards.

 

All I know is that Taylor would be stupid if he follows the Loma blueprint of allowing Teo time and space to establish a rhythm and maximize his handspeed. Josh needs to be pushing him back, roughing him up inside, and digging the body IMMEDIATELY. Even if it means him catching some hard counters.

 

Both made weight on the first try. Taylor looks a bit drained. Not the worst we've ever seen, but I recall him looking healthier at the Ramirez weigh-in. Teo looks healthy. Wondering if Teo's power shots will swell Taylor up.

Now more speculation. It all goes down!

I just went back and rewatched the Taylor-Ramirez weigh-in from 2 years ago to draw a comparison. Yeah, Josh looked far more filled out and healthy at that weigh-in. We'll see what the impact of the weight cut is. No more need to speculate on the 10,000 questions both guys have around them. Now it's just time to find out what's what. Essentially, this fight is simple to breakdown:

Will Josh hold up physically?

Will Teo hold up mentally?

 

The English don't care about the Scottish, it's the other way around. The Scottish hate us, we don't care.
