I don't think it would be much of a beating. I think it would be a matter of Crawford turning Taylor's lights off whenever he chooses to.

Another great night for boxing. Teo vs Taylor didn’t turn out to be a war that we all hoped but it was certainly a masterclass performance.

At least we got Munguia vs Derevyanchenko that made its way as a FOTY contender.

Even that score was way too close to be honest. This was a 10-2 fight at BEST for Taylor.

I had it 9-3. Teo really outclassed him.

    That kind of diminishes Teo.

He looked too physically talented for any version of Taylor.

Taylor himself said he felt fine.

It is pretty clear though that Taylor will never again be at Prograis/Ramirez level. He'll be remembered as a good, but not elite level junior welter champ.

    8-4 is about right....

They mighta split the first 4 rounds...then Teo took over only losing rounds were he rested(1 or 2 rounds at most)...

I think Prograis is going to get lit up if he fights Teo

Story of the fight, Teo is a pot shot master, and taylor wasnt good/skilled/intelligent enough to counter him

I’d favor López over Haney if they ever fight.

I think Lopez might just be the guy to finish off Haney when his signature ‘10th round turn into a flat-footed punching bag’ thing kicks in.

Teo’s power at 140 clearly hasn’t waned much if at all. Taylor simply showed dangerously good KD resistance- that was alot of flush shots for anyone to take. He didn’t even know what division he was fighting in after the fight (in post-fight interview mumbled something about ‘moving up to light-welterweight’ :Oh:).

Lopez won fair and square. Taylor looked good in bits but he's got nothing left at 140. Not sure about Lopez future but he won last night.

We don't know that. He's clearly been regressing at 140 despite being a not active guy with a large numbers of fights under his belt. At his age, that has to be weight-related. He looked good enough early and faded late.

His biggest problem at 147 is the marked increase in talent of the opposition not the size or strength disparity per se.

Right now, I'd give him a really good chance Vs Lopez at 147.

Fatigue makes bullshitters of us all. Do an hour on an exercise bike, finish fast and hard and try to do a simple maths puzzle in your mind.. you'll feel you never spent a day in school.

Now throw a few smacks into the head and see how you get on :Jest:

What's even worse is that British sports writers must have seen the error and then didn't correct it themselves :Jest:

Also Munguia.... he's not "that guy".

37 yoa guy with more miles on him than the local streetwalker and he damn near beats him.

That's two very very close calls Vs limited opposition.

Nah. It's good though because they got the cards right- JUST.

Lopez was winning but judges these days don't seem to value the single, clean, "proper" hard shots as much as they used to.

They've gone over to the "busy" guy. Guys who "come forward" or "move their hands" etc

"HE'S STILL THERE!! EATS A HARD SHOT AND COMES BACK!!!"

Yeah? What did he come back with? More "pressure"? Moved his hands a bit? Come on.

I think today's Judges would have Calzaghe beating Bernard Hopkins 116-110 all night.

    115-113 were crazy scores.
