Wildredo Gomez was likely a journeyman, I'm sure Inoue KOs him.

Inoue KO WILfredo Gomez? Relax, he just beat Stephen Fulton, that's all. Gomez would have annihilated Fulton too.

    That's my opinion

Inoue is more talented and more skilled than gomez was. More technically sound

His power at 122 was in question and he answered it emphatically. Fulton aint a legend but he's proven to be durable. Didn't matter, he got smacked

It's cool to live in the moment, but Gomez still has a much better resume as it stands today. It's not even close. I very much disagree that Inoue is more talented or skilled, but that's your opinion. Inoue has an opportunity to get closer on the resume side, as he still has a lot left in him.

Gomez vs Inoue would have been one helluva fight.

Easy there. I once suggested that Inoue could give a good fight for Gomez and felt the wrath of Xplosive's rage

You obviously didn't read my reply. I said it would be a great fight.

But I guess the fact that Gomez never lost at 122 and holds the record of super Bantam defenses means little to you guys.

Fulton isn't as good as Davila, a guy Gomez easily destroyed even prior to winning the belt. And Davila isn't considered Gomez's best win. It's a good win for Inoue, but calm down - he did as expected. This wasn't some upset. He was favored by all of us to stop Fulton. He does so, and all of a sudden he's the favorite over the GOAT 122 pounder? The recency bias is strong on this forum nowadays. It used to be more balanced.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lopez khtfko Inoue considering an old, weight-drained Donaire nearly did

No, Inoue would surely KO JuanMa Lopez.

But Neil intentionally made it about Gomez. Then, Mr. Shiny New Fighters are Always Better Than Those Antiquated Brutes Who Fought Centuries Ago in the 80s was a guarantee to pop up and co-sign Neil.

I never really thought much of Fulton. Even before he fought Figueroa, I thought he was more flash than substance. Against Fig, I thought he lost that fight and didn't think it was a tight 115-113 either way thing, either. I thought he lost pretty clearly - 8-4 - but in that fight, he showed he wasn't just all flash. He has been pretty impressive since but Danny Roman was seen as past his best when he fought MJ 3 years ago. I don't consider that win all that important, even though the performance was good.

I had a debate with a friend just yesterday about Fulton and Inoue's standing in the P4P list. I made a point about Porter being a better win, and now I've had some time to think about it. Forget Alberto Davilla, Fulton isn't even as good as Shawn Porter.

For whatever reason, Fulton seems to become one of the people the LDBC have seemed worthy of overrating the fuck out of. Without that hype, I don't think there's be much hype around Inoue now as there is.
