I don't know Michigan like that. Without checking a map, maybe Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids are neighboring cities. Could be wrong.

Maybe the Baby Cow should've been a salsa dancer instead.

I wouldn't call Manchester a particularly strong city. Even being from there, after Hatton and Fury, the third best is probably Anthony Crolla. Off the top my head, I can only think of nine guys who made it anywhere in the pros.

    Tyson Fury
    Ricky Hatton
    Matthew Hatton
    Michael Brodie
    Michael Gomez
    Jamie Moore
    Carl Thompson
    Anthony Crolla
    Lyndon Arthur

I would actually go as far as to say Liverpool is better in terms of the amount of fighters. I'm definitely missing some, but they definitely have more and better.

    John Conteh
    Peter Kane
    Alan Rudkin
    Robin Reid
    Paul Hodkinson
    Shea Neary
    Callum Smith
    Liam Smith
    Paul Smith
    Steven Smith
    Tony Bellew

Also, arguably the best current amateur in England outside of team GB right now is a Scouser called Odel Kamara.

John Conteh is a top 3-5 all time UK fighter in terms of talent. Just didn't have the longevity.

The 74 Conteh thrashes Calzaghe and Froch.

Hmm, it's odd that I reflexively went to disagree with the idea that Conteh was top 3-5 for talent here. But now I'm thinking about it, I can't really think of three others.

Obviously you have Wilde and Lewis who I don't think anyone would disagree with being the two best UK fighters unless they consider Fitzsimmons as from the UK.

Again, conteh (and a few others you listed) are not from the 21st century, so theyre irrelevant to this thread
