Plant was having trouble late with Uzcatagui, and NO amount of revisionism is gonna convince me that Uzcat was better than Lacy.

If it’s the pre-Calzaghe version, I think Lacy with all his limitations knocks Plant out. Caleb doesn’t have Calzaghe’s quickness and gas tank to make miss and make pay for 12 rounds. Lacy would land something big at some point and Plant is not gonna recover.

There's no doubting Crawford's the superior talent over Canelo. I have my doubts about the fight happening at 168, though. If Bud's slower in certain departments at that weight, it could spell trouble against Canelo. I would imagine Crawford and his team would want a catchweight agreement.

Oh surely they would, question is would Canelo agree to it?

I'm not so sure he would want to give up the advantages he holds. But then again the fight sells, so maybe Canelo could give up some weight in order to get a nice big slice of the pie.

Yeah i think he might budge, but only budge. I don't think he'll agree to anything which would put him at any real disadvantage.

It has been a while since I saw the fight but Shawn Porter was doing well against Bud before the tko. I don't think he can handle Canelo size.

Who used to call him Shawn Newporter? Was it Neil?

Porter is nothing special, and Canelo is better than him at 99/100 things. That 1 thing Porter does do better than Canelo is close distance faster. Ginger has slow feet.

To me, a fighter sucks if they have virtually nothing going for them.

Was Jeff Lacy greatly flawed and limited? Hell yeah he was.

But he also had legit power, fast hands, and a good chin. Any fighter that has those three attributes doesn't "suck."

I'm gonna maintain that of Canelo's 168 scalps, the only one who might beat Lacy is Plant.

Billy Joe Saunders was garbage, and didn't have the heart to withstand Lacy's pressure and power. Same with Callum Smith. Callum would mentally fold.

And John Ryder is just a bum.

BJS withstood Lemieux pressure and power easily, and won every seond of their fight. I don't see why he couldn't do the same to sucky ass Jeff LAcy

Lemoo is not a 168 pounder. That's the slight of hand.

When you got two no defense bangers like Lemeiux and Lacy, usually it will come down to chin and heart.

Lacy had a better chin and Lacy had a hell of a lot more heart. Lacy had better stamina too.

Lemoo would have folded like a chain under that Calzaghe beating. Wouldn't have lasted 6 rounds.

I'd take Lacy over Lemieux with zero hesitation.

oh yes, it's true, they were one (''fake'' and superfluous) division apart. These 8 pounds makes all the difference in the world

Both were pretty crappy, way too crappy to pick one of them with any confidence.

And did Lacy really had more heart than Lemieux? I'm no Lemieux fan, but he had no quit in him. Took a bad beating from GGG and he kept trying
