Teo vs Ryan would be entertaining. I’d love to see it.

And g0ing by what happen last night.....as long as Ryan has speed and some pop...Haney is never eeeevvver beating him. Haney was wobbled by the left hooks a minute into the fight.....Linares chipped his chin and Ryan just busted wide open...he is done.

Traditionally, if a champ agrees to fight someone who missed weight and loses, they lose the belt. But there was a big fight a few years ago where that happened and they let the champ keep the belt. So that's a thing too now. I read that the WBC is letting Haney keep the title.

Again, shows how limited Prograis is. If his feet weren't shit, it would've been him knocking him out.

It should be vacated.....one man didn't win it, the other didn't defend it.

Imagine a guy like Judah today, he'd be a pfp phenom at 140 beating these guys up. Casuals would believe he was the next Aaron Pryor.

Well let's not pretend Judah's chin wasn't shit as well. But yeah, unlike Haney, Judah had deadly power.

Judah had an ok chin. He'd be getting hit with NONE of what Ryan loaded up with....those big loaded hooks would be catching air all night.....gimme Khan Vs Garcia ....great stuff!!

    Judah's chin wasn't as bad as Haney's.

Shane Mosley and Felix Trinidad should make comebacks.
All those training videos that I saw Garcia posting...some of them were soooo bad that it made me think that he was faking. Punching off the wrong foot, crossing his feet when he moved, mistakes a guy with that many amateur fights and so many years in gyms shouldn't be making, the fake should have been obvious.
On the other hand, he isn't very good and he was trained by his father and he has a poor eye for detail.
Boxing is in a really really low spot right now.

Hey, you know what's funny? When you mentioned Judah, it got me thinking about Garcia vs. Haney—it kind of reminded me of Judah vs. Spinks. Haney and Spinks, they both had that 'eh' vibe as champs, right? Like, not much chin or knockout punch to speak of. And just like Ryan cleaned up, Judah did the same with Spinks.

I think perfect technique is overrated. Haney skipped rope and punched the bag beautifully but still got his clock cleaned. Mayorga fought like a caveman bust still fucked up Forrest a former olympian. Who gives a fuck about leaked sparring and training footage. Youre reaching.

Spinks beat Mayorga. His chin was not bad.

Have you seen the video of Garcia shadowboxing and Derrick James covering his face? That stuff was posted all over the place; in retrospect it was for a purpose.
With all due respect, I really don't think that you know anything at all about 'proper' technique to begin with. You probably understand even less about ways to manipulate it to achieve results.

True. But mayorga fight aside, spinks had much better chin than khan and seemingly than haney as well.

I am big on Haney and thought he might even be #1 p4p, although Inoue and Crawford have the better arguments. However you rate Haney, I think it was hard to have him outside the top 10 p4p, though, before this fight. I haven't watched it, but expected a pretty easy UD for Haney.

History shows that a hyped, undefeated guy should never fight a tough fight after the first loss. So many examples of back-to-back losses for these types of fighters.

I remember back in the day we would go back and forth with Tito fans about who won. We thought Delahoya got robbed. But knowing what I know now about oscar as person I'm glad Tito got the nod. Even back then a lot of Mexicans were fans of Trinidad. Im not going to lie I rooted for Tito against all his opponents except for Nando and Oscar. When Hopkins whopped Tito I was as dissappointed as any Tito fan. And yeah Delahoya is a pos just like his dad.

Oscar is a product of Bob Arum, essentially. They tried way too hard to make him the Latino Leonard and even though Oscar brought in the revenue, he simply wasn’t as good as Sugar Ray.

They say the cream rises to the top. All time greats like Ali and Leonard were clutch fighters. They rose to the occasion. De La Hoya lost at key moments of his career like the tito and mosley fight. He is still a HOF fighter. No shame in that.
