Who has a better chance of pulling an upset in the following matchups?

    Ali vs Holy

    Leonard vs Oscar

Assuming all 4 four guys are at their peaks, of course.

Both Holy & Oscar have poor chances. Who has the better odds of pulling an upset?

Oscar does nothing better than Ray (coke snorting is a push) so therefore Holyfield has a better chance of winning

Holyfield for sure. Leonard and De La Hoya have a lot of similarities and Ray is simply better.

At least with Holyfield vs Ali there is a clash of styles and a prime Holy will try every round.

Yep, and anything you could list in Oscar's favor it's very slight, not enough to really call it an advantage.

Well, DLH had a better jab than Leonard.

But that's quite literally his only advantage.

I'd give Holy a much better chance than DLH.

Even if odh could win rounds (and I think he could) his stamina would fail him. Holyfield with his high volume, durability, combination punching....he'd have a real chance.

Holyfield doesn't have a legitimate chance against the 66 Ali, let's be real.

You neglected to mention that Holy famously doesn't have the best stamina. Ali's stamina was 10x better than Holy's.

Holy would also struggle with Ali's jab and footwork and with the fact that for once in his career, Holy doesn't have a handspeed edge. You factor in Holy's lack of defense and the power the 60s Ali had.. I'd go as far as to say that there's a chance of Ali stopping him late.

I'd go with Ali by UD, but again, the chance of Ali TKO late is legit.

Its close. I guess I’d lean towards Holyfield having a better chance but it’s only slight and his odds are still poor. Holyfield’s stamina would let him down as would the fact that he’d have no choice but to try and get Ali into a war but that’s just gonna make him take more damaging shots. He’d have to try to get a big left hook in there that could hurt Ali but even if he was to get a knockdown, Ali would get up and turn it up, whereas Holyfield would fade.

I don’t see what Oscar could do to beat Ray. He doesn’t have the style. He doesn’t have the ring IQ. And he doesn’t have the gas tank to hang with Leonard. Ray is faster, smarter, more versatile, and had some of the best stamina ever. If Oscar elects to box the way he did against Trinidad, Leonard would just walk him down and wear him down to the body. If Oscar elects to come forward and pressure like he did against Mosley, he would eat some really nasty counters and combinations and I don’t think he’d be able to stand that for 15 rounds.

    What could Oscar do?

Holy, but his chances are pretty slim. Miserable ass ali Donald dominated him with a jab (yeah holy was past it, but still).

He also didn't have an easy go with an aged Holmes. The Holmes of 10 years prior would have schooled him.

Leonard had a stellar jab. It's close, but it doesn't matter because Leonard would annihilate DLH. Say what you want about Leonard, but when he had people hurt, he wanted to get them out of there. DLH tended to gas late and he could be outsped. Leonard stops him late.

Holy has the better chance of scoring an upset. Evander made Mercer take a knee with a left hook.
