Really enjoyed it. Fury blew it then Usyk couldve closed, ref saved tyso 1 punch from death.
All in all a lil bit of heavyweight face saving no prob with scores really

That was a great fight, definitely worth the wait and it lived up to the hype. Usyk started strong, then Fury gained control, then out of nowhere Usyk badly hurts Fury, drops him and turns the tide to his favor.

This was boxing at its best. Usyk deserves all the praises he’s getting. And as much as I can’t stand Fury he gets props for making it very competitive and managing to show great recovery once again. I wouldn’t mind seeing a rematch.

I don’t buy that myth that only Fury can beat Fury, I think it’s bs. Usyk was looking to land that and found a way. Bloodied his nose the round before, sowed doubts in mind and bam, that was it. Fury was lucky the fight wasn’t stopped, notwithstanding the fact he proved he could continue after.

The only time I almost crapped my pants was round 9 when it looked like Fury was gonna get KTFO. Despite my heart saying Usyk by KO my head said decision so thats where I had my $.

That might have been the best Fury could ever do vs Usyk. He obviously trained like crazy, possibly like he’s never trained before, and took tons of ‘roids. Still lost and got shit beat out of him.

Props to Usyk. He beat the addage of a good big man beats a great small man.

Fury gave a good effort but took his foot off the gas and got caught and never recovered. I still want to see Fury vs Joshua.

The nose shot changed everything imo. Completely wrestled control from Fury.

Fury was 100% saved by the referee. The ref should have either let Usyk continue to bash Fury against the ropes, or waved it off. Bullshit decision by the referee who appeared to arbitrarily reintroduce the standing 8 count to save Fury from an embarassing KO.

And yes I'm dirty cos I had Usyk by KO lol.

Exactly. As if the other guy who cane to do the same job you did has nothing to do with it. One side is winning, that's what should happen. Things aren't going well "oh something went wrong with his head"

If only a professional boxer knew what it was like to get punched in the nose it could have been different.

Weird seeing this in a fight but in a 12 round fight at points both looked like they were MUCH MUCH better than the other

Yeah pretty much. Usyk is a blown up cruiser that beat 2 comically oversized heavyweight behemoths and made them both do the "baby giraffe" dance.

Fury had this in round 6. I feel like he thought to himself this is way too easy lemme take my time clown beat the guy up a bit... he paid for it. Usyk was ready to be mauled

You mean after the ref gave him a standing 8 count while he was helpless on the ropes getting pummeled?:Jest:

All this fight proved to me is that Usyk is a million times better than Loma

It wasn't standing 8. It was KD due to ropes keeping him up. Same thing could have been called several times in the 20 seconds prior to officially KD

I think that's a bit harsh tbh. Usyk is indeed a great and he's more than proven that tonight, but you don't push a great fighter to that extent without at least being a decent fighter yourself.

Yeah for sure that’s what happened. Couldn’t have been that he tried his hardest for half a round and managed some success against a guy 3/4 his size although didn’t have him in any trouble, then went back to his actual sustainable workrate and getting his face bashed against the far more skilled fighter.

I like how the ref finally decided to call a knockdown when Furry was done on the verge of a brutal ko loss. As if the ropes hadn't held him up 3 or 4 times before that during usyks onslaught

Assuming this was under Unified Rules, nowhere is a mandatory 8 count to be performed against someone groggily leaning against the ropes. It's either waved off, or the fight continues.
