If Celtics don't end the extremely long Boston championship drought this year, I can see Mazzulla getting canned for Ham
Celtics did get gifted a lebron James wit cavs type path of least resistance to the finals this year. Just up to them beating whoever comes out of the west Ham ? I'd bet Stevens goes back to coaching if they fire mazulla
I think the Wolves actually came back when they benched Towns for Reid. At the same time I don't think you can say anyone from Minnesota's starting five didn't contribute in some way to that win. Gobert had some key blocks, drew a lot of fouls and even hit a key bucket or two. Towns hit some threes when they were in an offensive drought and had that nail in the coffin put back dunk. Conley hit a couple timely threes as well. Anderson was one of the few Timberwolves who didn't contribute much of anything that I recall.
Here's where I admit I was wrong about Denver winning the series. It's their own fault too, they didn't show up at all in game 6 and deserve to lose after that pathetic effort. Anyway, Dallas-Minnesota is almost a toss up. I give Dallas a shot if they employ that same impressive zone defense they threw at OKC as Denver's zone seemed to mostly limit the Wolves offense. At the same time Minnesota's height and length advantage could make the difference here and I think that length will be the difference so I got the Wolves in 6.
Stevens was having an aneurysm the last season of his tenure trying to coach up Brown, Smart, and Tatum. He's not coming back to the sideline if the Celts bottled it again
[QUOTE="lb 4 lb, post: 1977581, member: 767" The fuck? You ok Reed? Hope you didn't have a stroke or something.[/QUOTE] REED Was Attempting to Post a Link of His NOSEBLEED View of Kyrie's Lefty Buzzer Beater vs. Denver, a Few Weeks Back...Apparently, the Link DIDN'T Work... REED
The Leadership Shoes Kyrie WANTED to Fill in Boston Are Finally Being Worn in Dallas...You NEVER Say Never w/Kyrie, But He APPEARS to Have Finally Found Peace and Happiness, in DALLAS of All Places... REED
How confident are you feelin bout our mavs chances to beat Minnesota/ win a chip, Reed? Doncic is beat up and it would be nice to get kleber back this series but I feel okc is better than Minnesota
Hard to Say... Minnesota Won the Regular Season Series 3-1, But All of Those Games Came PRIOR to the Daniel Gafford/PJ Washington Trade, Which ALTERED the Mavs Fortunes this Season...On Top of That, Luka Missed 2 of the 4 Games and Kyrie Missed 3 of Them... Yes, Luka's LESS than 100%, But the Mavs CLINCHED a Western Conference Playoff Spot 4 FULL Days Removed from Tipoff Tomorrow Night...REED Expects Luka and Ant to Cancel Each Other Out in Terms of SCORING, But Luka Will Put Up Better Assist/Rebounding #'s... Being the Certified DOG That He Is, Ant's Come Out and Said He WANTS To Guard Kyrie...Will Be Interesting to See How EFFECTIVE Ant Is Against Kyrie, and How it Impacts Ant's Offensive Output... Kat Townes is the KEY in REED's Opinion...If Kat WANTs To Dominate the Paint vs. the Mavs, He WILL...But REED's Hoping Kat Settles for 3's Instead...No REAL "Feel" for This Series, Based on the Details of the 4 Regular Season Meetings, But REED's Taking the Mavs in 7... REED
Irving will have problems with edwards but at least he'll get more chances in iso to go 1 on 1. Okc basically hard doubled him anytime he was iso'd vs Williams or whoever or in screen roll, so it should be interesting In other mavs news, I never heard Jim Jackson speak on this but apparently he never even met toni Braxton
Perhaps it was that but bottom line is they let him go against 1 defender primarily in the first half and he fuckin cooked whoever. Edwards, McDaniels or anyone else. And was able to finish over the overrated frog and the other bigs. And he had fresh legs with the 4 days off My guess is they try to take the ball out of his hands and make him a facilitator like okc did. That should give plenty of open looks to Washington, jones and the others. We shall see if they knock em down. Washington was missing today and they still won
Haliburton blew out his hamstring and at the post-game presser, when Carlisle was asked about the severity of his injury, he blurted out HIPAA
Mavs Shot 6-25 from 3....and They STILL Won...Doubtful They Shoot THAT Poorly from 3, Collectively, the Remainder of the Series... REED
Porzingis revenge series. I do think Boston may test run him against the pacers if they're up 3-0 or 3-1 but who knows. Either way if they face Dallas they'll be fresher but far less battle tested this postseason
dallas came out very flat this evening and minnesota is making 3s. theyre fortunate to only be down a dozen at halftime
Is it REED or Does Mazzulla Reek of UNCERTAINTY @ His Pressers???....Half the Battle in Coaching is Looking/SOUNDING the Part, Yet Mazzulla FAILS @ This...Miserably, REED Might Add... REED
REED Actually agREED w/this Point of Yours PRIOR to the Mavs-TWolves Series...Weird AF Seeing How GASSED Ant's Been @ the End of Games 1 & 2... He's STILL In Better Shape Than Luka Though, to YOUR Point, But 22 Year Old Ant All of a Sudden Showing FATIGUE, On Multiple Occasions, Has Been THE Biggest Shock of this Series, in REED's Opinion... Would've Been Understandable in the Denver Series, Given the Altitude, But it Couldn't Have Come @ a WORSE Time for Ant Or His Squad... REED
I'm not too impressed with kidd as a coach despite his obviously high iQ as a player. Coaching should be a major advantage against Boston If things play 0ut as expected who are you all picking Boston dallas
