REED NEVER Expected the Gafford/Lively Duo of the Mavs to OUTPLAY Rudy and Kat Townes...REED Conceded the Paint as a MAJOR Advantage for Minnesota, But it Damn Sure HASN'T Played Out That Way...

Towns and Reid is the combination that should get the majority of the minutes. Finch and the other guy haven't realized it yet for some reason

Only fuckin reason that game was competitive was because of Reid. I don't see why they're so committed to gobert. Towns was off but they made a tactical error playing gobert over him

Lively and gafford is an excellent combination for that team. Big credit to nico harrison

Some Interesting Elements to a Boston-Dallas Series...

    Luka/Kyrie vs Tatum/Brown
NO City LOATHES Kyrie Quite Like Boston Does
Luka and Porzingis DIDN'T Get Along when KP was a Mav

Mavs in 6...The Perimeter Defense of PJ Washington and Derrick Jones Jr Will Make Tatum/Brown Work for EVERY Bucket, and When Those 2 AREN'T Efficient, Boston Loses...

It will be interesting to see what porzingis has to offer. If he can somehow jump back into action and be the factor he was on both ends then Boston has a tremendously better chance at winning

Mainly in pick and roll defense because doncic and Irving will badly exploit horford

I actually think Ant just kind of shrunk from the moment. It really didn't help that he didn't have much help other than Reid. All his other teammates couldn't hit open shots.

Gobert just looks like a really bad overpriced player. At times his reaction time, coordination and toughness all look like something that severely detracts from his effectiveness as a player.

I think the constantly leaving KAT out of games for whole quarters at a time is a disastrous decision. If they're not going to consistently play him they shouldn't start him and trade him after the season. What they're doing now is only going to kill his confidence and make him ineffective in the playoffs.

I was actually thinking the exact opposite earlier today. As a coach Kidd has done an outstanding job IMO. I'm referring in particular to how well the team has executed in their zone defense. It's been the main factor in their success in the playoffs as both OKC and Minny so far have been having bad offensive success. I believe one of the announcers even said that Dallas had the best defense in the final few games of the regular season.

I think something I've often fallen victim to and too many other people make the mistake of, is judging coaches too much on in-game adjustments, particularly in the playoffs. There's a lot more that goes into not only coaching but what makes a good coach than that.

If both sweep, the week break benefits Dallas more. Rest for doncic is more meaningful than extra rest for porzingis. But if porzingis plays at the same level he did all year you have to favor boston

    Towns aint it

Coming out of Kentucky he showed potential skill wise to be like Duncan. But his career has shown he lacks the testicular fortitude and heart to be the factor on the defensive end

Man the NBA is in great hands. Hand the keys to Anthony Edwards. Now this is the guy rookies need to model themselves after. His professionalism with the press is great. His overly positive attitude even in losses may be obviously forced and disingenuous but it's a hell of a lot better than watching cry babies like Durant or LBJ take criticisms personally and come to the press conference with a terrible, negative, angry attitude that they direct to a bunch of reporters just trying to do their jobs.

I also can't wait to see Ant next season. You just know he's going to come back even better.

Bill Walton (RIP) is literally the only superstar that I know of who led a bunch of young dudes to a title, as in led a team with all the starters being under 30 years old. Bron didn't do it, MJ didn't do it, Magic/Bird didn't do it. I don't even think in my mind Russell did it either

3 of the 4 games were basically blown by the losing team but id agree

The competitive nature of the first 3 were mostly due to the sloppiness/futility of both teams

Maybe the rest and relative ease of the path helps Boston but i think Dallas having a much harder route will benefit them in a grueling series

Unless doncic aggravates one of the many leg issues he has and becomes less effective

I didn't watch more than one game of each Eastern playoffs series. I watched almost all of the Western conference.

Knicks pacers was the onliest eastern conf series I watched and it was entertaining utiil Thibodaux broke down their players as he typically does with ridiculously heavy minutes for his main 5 to 7 guys

You look at it, Boston got Miami without their best player and the next 2 series without each team's best player for the last two games. Nice road to a title

World B. Flat was off that game or they would've won. Especially if lively played. Overall better for fans to see another game or 3 but bad for must needed rest for Dallas going into a tough series vs a more talented roster
