The Jofre vs Medel fight in good quality. The only full fight of a peak Jofre.

Dude was such a beast. I wonder who his style can be compared to. I've always likened him to a mesh of Louis, Robinson, and Chavez. He was the complete package. For instance, I was watching fights of a prime Ricardo Lopez last night, and it stuck out how much more skilled/talented Jofre was, as Finito Lopez couldn't infight. Jofre could do it all.

I just saw that on YouTube, full fight 34 minutes. Years ago all that was available, that I was aware of, was a six minute clip, which I purchased on a vcr tape.

Glad the full fight is available. It's a great war. A great war fought on an exceptionally high skill level by both.

I remember watching that clip with my late uncle. My purpose in buying the tape was to see Jofre. About the third time watching it my uncle said "That other guy is good, too." And he was right.

Awesome fight. Medel was no pushover and a very skilled boxer but Jofre was as complete a fighter as you can get. The man can do anything in the ring, can fight at any range and was a great finisher. Just a master technician.

I purchased the whole fight on VHS over 20 years ago from a dude in Minnesota.

There's many rare fights I have on VHS that I've meaning to get to put on YT for years now. I just need a new converter and enough free time.

I think Jofre stops both Zarate and Olivares. Mainly because he had a much better chin than both of them.

Jofre wasn't AS devastating a single hitter as Olivares was with his hook, but unlike Olivares, he had even-handed power. Also going off the Medel fight, Jofre was quicker and more dynamic than Zarate.
