This year is already looking great. Can’t wait to watch this one. Juan Francisco Estrada vs Bam Rodriguez official for June 29
I like this fight, Estrada is a warrior and one of my favourites. I think Bam's gonna win though, he's a very talented fighter.
Fight is this coming Saturday. I’m so stoked to see how this plays out. Bam is a unique talent who will be up against a tough warrior that’s been in a lot of great scraps. I’m thinking this will be a passing of the torch kind of fight similar to that of Erik Morales vs Daniel Zaragoza.
I dont see inoue vs rodriguez happening nor should team rodriguez If I were them I wouldn't even be considering nakatani at 118 anytime soon
While REED Agrees, this is the SAME Team Behind the Spence vs. Mikey "I SEE Something" Cash-Out...Not Only That, Bam Seems to Blow Up in Between Bouts... REED Doubts Bam Has the Firepower to Earn Inoue's Respect, But Bam's Looking @ Inoue as the Lottery... REED
Garcia was never that committed or dedicated to his boxing career and as it turned out didn't take a major beatdown in his cash out fight. Inoue would/could fuck rodriguez up badly. He's a lot more dynamic than spence. Maybe it would be quick and painless tho. As a rodriguez fan I don't care to see it and inoue really doesn't have much to gain. I doubt he's getting paid a whole lot more in japan for that fight than he would he for ahkmadaliev or champions at 126
I wasn’t impressed when I watched Bam take flush shot after shot against Cristian Gonzalez, giving him a broken jaw and having to gut out a close victory. He relies a bit too much on his youthful resilience. Against an elite fighter Bam will find himself beaten beyond his ability to overcome. How good is Estrada??!
Even w/Boxing's Watered Down Standards, Estrada's Legit HOF Caliber.......but he's Already 34, Which is Old AF for the Lower Weights. He's Also SMALLER Than Bam (Who Recently Turned 24), Has Been Inactive and is Coming Off a TRILOGY, Which Is Rarely GOOD for Winners OR Losers... Sadly for Estrada, this will Likely Be His Most Mainstream Fight w/American Audiences, Which will Reflect Poorly On What He Actually Achieved PRIOR to Being on This Stage... It'll Be Competitive Early, But Bam Eventually Dominates and Stops Estrada, in REED's Opinion... REED
It'll be a goddamn shame if Estrada made the HOF over better and more deserving Super Fly greats like Jiro Watanabe, Sung Kil Moon and Gilberto Roman. But the HOF voters have extreme recency bias.
If Tim Bradley's a 1st Ballot HOF'er, There's No Argument Whatsoever for Excluding Juan Francisco Estrada... REED
estrada is easily a first ballot HOFer, especially if you consider his last 2 victories over gonzalez to be legit. he definitely lost the rematch, i rewatched that recently and it was an outright robbery. it also matters what year he comes up for induction. if he was eligible this year he would have got in easily with how weak the class was.
Estrada is a legit HOFer though. I would have no problem having him inducted in his first year of eligibility. The 3 fighters mentioned are way overdue for an induction thought, especially Gilberto Roman.
I don't think Jiro is a greater Superfly than Estrada. He definitely doesn't have a resume of the same quality.
