Teofimo had an opponent that was meant to make him look good and still looked so-so, even got tagged a lot. He really does fight to the level of his opponents. Such an inconsistent fighter. Credit to Claggett though. He’s really tough.
Teo’s power isn’t there at 140. He’s talking a move to 147 but I don’t see him doing well there if he’s gonna go up against anyone elite.
I'm done with the thinking that Teo can beat Tank. He's just too easy to hit. And beyond that, Davis has a higher ring IQ.
Teo is not really good. He was mostly lucky that loma decided to throw the half of the fight "downloading" him, and Taylor was very overrated
Damn, Clagget is a rough tough little scrapper but thought he would have been way out of his league vs Teo. The most enigmatic fighter in the game by far...
Teo is not very good....Tank shouldn't be such a punk bitch and fight him...NOW, soon... Shoulder bumping to create space.....but more than half the time he would run into Claggett to push him off w/ his shoulder/forearm...
I bet Wilfredo Rivera or Oba Carr would have beaten hell out of Timo. Charpentier probably would have slapped him about too..
Lopez narrowly lost once, when he had a serious medical condition and nearly died. in fact he did enough to earn that decision and also nearly KOd kambozo. other than that he is unbeaten with one of the better resumes for any fighter his age. stop the hate!
I remember the episode of House when Dr. House needed 45 mins to diagnose Teo's rare condition on the night of the Bozos fight.
I know I am kind of out of the loop for now but WTF is the deal with him representing Spain now? I thought he was puro Honduran from Brooklyn, NYC.
Some confused pendejo move...his granpa or great grandpa was spaniard...he looks long enough into his ancestry he's going to run into a Moor grandfather he ain't going to like that...
Teo and Isaac Cruz might possibly face each other this year. He better be on his A-game against Cruz. x.com
Cruz is too durable for him to "destroy" but given Teo's ability, I would HOPE that he could outbox Cruz.
At SOME point, it goes beyond "he just fights to the level of his comp". At a certain point, if you consistently fail to blow out 2nd rate fighters, it means you aren't that much better than them. I wonder if Neil will still defend me saying that prime Thurman was better than Teo, because to me it ain't even close. Keith was a better fighter by a good distance.
Thats exactly it. The "he fights to the level of his opposition" excuse is justifiable when you have some top notch performances and a few stinkers in between. Not when your last blowout was about 5 years and 7 opponents ago, and you arguably have a few losses against nondescript opponents. His performance against loma was admirable, but seems more like a case of a one hit wonder than anything else (taylor has shown to be very overrated)
