One of my favorite movies in the 90s. Menace 2 society is so underrated. I'm not a Ryan fan but did he really say all those things about George Floyd and the KKK? Thats a disturbed young man.

 

Menace 2 Society is always regarded as a hood & crime classic. I don't think it's underrated. Not like it's an obscure movie.

 

I strongly disagree I think Menace 2 Society is super underrated. People call it a "hood classic" but I feel like that label keeps it from getting the respect it deserves. The acting by Tate Larenz(Odogg) is top notch. The actors bring a lot of depth and realism to their roles but it often gets overlooked because of the movie's setting(black hood). The themes in M2S are universal... things like identity and struggle. These are relevant to everyone not just those familiar with the "hood" experience. Menace 2 Society should be seen as a great film overall, not just a good hood movie. Saying its a cult classic is selling it short. I would put it right up there with classic films such as Gone with wind, Scarface, Robo cop, Goonies and Coming to America.
