franco probably shouldnt be at that division but perhaps being in japan and travel affected his preparation. still worth it to stick around and hope the fight goes thru for the payday even though they mustve known weeks ago the weight wasnt feasible. abd if his purse is cut in half its better than getting zero and having to payback training expenses. obviously ioka feels the same way as he's going thru with the fight.
Looks like he schooled Joshua Franco in the rematch. If there’s one thing I notice about Ioka he seems to improve in rematches. Glad he made the necessary corrections from the first fight to ensure a win. Would like to see Ioka face Gallo, Choco, Martinez, or Nakatani next.
Ioka’s latest fight against Josber Perez. Thought he looked pretty good. Ioka vs Gallo should be next. Make it happen.
Press conference underway in Tokyo to formally announce Kazuto Ioka-Fernando 'Puma' Martinez WBA/IBF 115 unification. Set for July 7 on ABEMA-TV from Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo. Second title defense for each; 24th overall full title fight for Ioka spanning four divisions. ^ From former fightbeater Jake Donovan, although it is actually martinez 3rd title defense
This should be a good one. Ioka might be in for a long night against Martinez. Kazuto Ioka vs Fernando Martinez unification official for July 7th in Tokyo
Another good fight to look forward to this weekend. Ioka might have his hands full against Martinez but hopefully he pulls it off.
Just got beat by Fernando Martinez. It was a great fight and a solid performance from Martinez who was just too relentless for the old veteran. Ioka’s reign has come to an end. I wonder what’s next for him?
As I'm watching, martinez is beating his ass. Iokas stupid haircut doesn't help since the judges can see it flopping around everytime he eats punches
