Looks like it’ll be heading towards a unification fight for November. It’s been long overdue for these two to meet in the ring.

Tank has to be the favorite. But based off what I saw against Martin, I give Loma a good chance.

I can't see Loma winning.

I could see the peak Loma beating a greener Davis at 130, certainly.

But I can't see old man Loma beating a Davis who's at the peak of his powers now.

Even Now, Loma's BUSIER than Tank Typically Is (Frank Martin Fight was an Outlier), Which Could Sway CLOSE Rounds in His Favor...

He will put rounds in the bank, but I can't imagine him not eventually getting caught and put away. Loma's not as quick as he used to be. He looked good versus Bozos partially because Bozos is a horrible fighter.

 

Bozos is terrible, not for nothing. Absolute trash.

 

Problem is it doesn't take someone with Lomachenko's skills to win rounds against Davis. He can be up 11-0 with two knockdowns.

I don't see him at this stage not getting hit big.

 

Hard for REED to Imagine Loma Getting KO'ed, Honestly...BEATEN? Sure, it's Likely...Even Dev's Done it...But STOPPED???....

Put it This Way, if Tank KO's Loma, Even an OLD Loma, That's EASILY the Best Win of His Career and a LEGIT "Lb for Lb" Level Win in REED's Opinion...REED Thinks of Loma During the 1st Half of the 'Fimo Fight...If Tank Proves to Loma He Can HURT Him, Loma Can Play DEFENSE w/the Best of 'em...

He can, but he can't if that makes any sense.

The angles, the movement are mostly to set up some kind of offense. He will (and does) leave openings.

100% agreed and I think it validates your post in the other thread regarding Tank getting overrated. Yes he's the favorite but Loma is definitely live imo. If Tanks wins easily, it's a top p4p worthy accomplishment, as Loma is still an elite fighter.

 

If Loma was spooked by Teo's power, then he may just run himself out of the ring from Tank's power and loses another decision

Really good fight. A win does a lot for both fighters. Will be interesting to see how Tank deals with the angles and workrate.

 

If Loma beats Tank, he will officially earn my respect as an ATG. I tend to think of him overrated, historically speaking. He'll prove me wrong in a big way if he beats a guy as talented as Davis, who is naturally bigger, stronger, more powerful than him, and at this stage quicker than him.

But I'm gonna stick with my prediction throughout. Davis by late stoppage.

 

I never said Davis wins "easily." Davis will be behind on the cards, as usual. But his youth and firepower will wear Loma down.

It's not because Davis is better.

I think the 2016 Loma would whup Tank. But Loma is no longer that fighter. It didn't show against a bum like Bozos, but against a top fighter like Tank, Loma's age will be more apparent.
