Yeah Shogun, is pretty good. I've been watching that one. I'm surprised you didn't like BES, I actually thought the story was what made it stand out, especially the further you go in the episodes. But if you weren't feeling it you weren't feeling it.

 

Im going to give it another shot. I was busy with life but it wasnt bad.

 

Baby Reindeer

7 episodes, 30 min episodes, can't go wrong

 

Same here: watched a couple of episodes, but didn't grasp my attention, even though is nicely animated. Shogun is a fucking masterpiece and beat GOT by not letting us down with the final episode like GOT sadly did.

 

Yeah its really good im into it. Glad you enjoyed it.

 

You can't make that comparison yet. Shogun has only done it's first season so far. It took GOT's at least 4 to 5 seasons to jump the shark.

 

Gran Turismo - Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Well done movie although you could feel the formulaicness in the story, it didn't detract from how good it was. Disappointedly mailed in performance by Orlando Bloom but I still recommend it. 7/10

We Have A Ghost - This started out pretty good but got worse as the film went along. The comedy isn't strong and isn't plentiful. You can definitely miss this one as it's probably best if you're bored senseless or want something playing in the background. As far as a family night film, you can definitely do better than subject your kids to this. 5/10

Death Note (animated series) is great! Check it out, but don't watch the freakin' stupid live version movie.

 

I started watching this but it got uninteresting pretty quickly in about the 3rd or 4th episode.

 

Terminator Zero

Don't waste your time. I'd been waiting for this one for nearly a year and talk about a major letdown.

The characters are all unlikeable, the 3 children will actually make you think Jaden Smith wasn't so bad.

The art work is pretty bad at times and the story seems pretty weak too.

The action sequences are frustrating after watching a terminator shoot at a female with automatic rifle fire and somehow miss her and hit the ground just like in standard action films. In another sequence she's hanging onto a rope over a hundred foot drop with a terminator hanging from her foot. Not only is she able to carry both of their weight which is incredible for even a man as terminators probably weigh several hundred pounds, but the terminator has every opportunity to simply crush her foot while he's holding on to it but never does.

The hero is of course a girl who is just drenched in plot armor and I've actually read she eventually gets into a fistfight with a terminator which is ridiculous in every conceivable way.

Anyway I pushed through 2 or 3 episodes hoping things would get better but I could see it wouldn't. Terrible execution here.

Scavengers Reign

Now this sci-fi cartoon was pretty good. It wasn't great but the concept was pretty new, interesting and was good enough that I stayed invested to see it through til the end.

It was about space explorers getting marooned on a planet teeming with strange new life. 6/10

 

Terminator shit is played out. Has been since terminator 2.

 

I've been watching Korean serieses recently. One I really liked is called Bloodhounds...

...Two young boxers band together with a benevolent moneylender to take down a ruthless loan shark who preys on the financially desperate.

 

I'll just stop you at "Benevolent Moneylender".......

 

Ha. You'll have to watch it to understand.
