I watched it before, had Sanchez by 3 rounds. I thought Sanchez had issues with Ruben Castillo too and didn't look great against Rocky Garcia. Boxer types who stood off gave him problems. He could beat them but it wasn't his preferred style. He would make mince meat out of a guy coming at him though. Ford didn't win, that's Paulie bigging up his old trainer which is understandable. I highly rate Sanchez even though he had some close fights. I always felt he had more up his sleeve in his fights. I actually thought he looked improved in the Nelson fight but it might not have looked that way because Nelson is seen as young/not ready at that time but he was a beast in that fight. I thought Sanchez showed a much more mature performance and was getting better. Others disagree though. I'm a fanboy of Sanchez, I have to admit. I buy all of the hype.
Check out the first fight here vs Lopez. Little Red may have had the best chin I've ever seen. Certainly right up there. It looks like he's taking shotgun blasts to the head all night and continuing to walk through the punches. He's taking the full force of the punches and walking towards the punches which would increase the impact. The head movement of Sanchez in that Gomez fight where they are exchanging in close quarters is truly masterful.
