If Golota doesn't implode can he beat Mike?

Talking about a Golota that doesn't implode is like discussing a Terry Norris with an iron chin, or a Haney with power. It doesn't exist, so no sense dwelling on it.

For the sake of argument, even IFFFFFFF Golota was mentally strong, he still didn't have the tools to beat Tyson. He was too stiff and straight up, and more importantly, he never knew how to clinch when hurt or to blunt an attack.

So even if you take Golota at his absolute apex and bless him with mental strength, and you match him with any version of a prime Tyson, Mike still wins 10/10.

Plus Golota was very intimidated by Tyson
Probably grew up watching him... as he didn't seem at all intimidated by Bowe

I remember watching Golata for the first time on HBO.
    Night of the Heavyweights

he won,..against a Darnell guy who sucked.
    Nichols maybe.

and we were all shocked that Golata beat the fuck out of Bowe twice…:but discombobulated both times.

A weird and goofy guy who had ability

Funny thing Golota was on the Conan O'Brien show the day after the first Bowe fight. With his broken English anxiety and concussed from previous nights punches and cell phone shots.... not sure how tf this came about and whose idea it was.... very weird

Wow. Nice find. I would have never had thought Golota made it onto late night TV.

Golota was clueless in the face of Tyson's bobbing and weaving. He tried to hook with his jab but it didn't work. Styles make fights.

And Tyson was further removed from his prime than Golota was his.

In the post Tyson interview he’s saying the KD where he got dropped HARD was just a slip. Yet he’s on camera in the corner after that squeeling for his corner to stop it. Acts like some little (like 4 yr old little) kid making deadpan dumb fucking excuses expecting people to believe it.

But the discerning American consumer wasn't buying any of it. They saw right through his shallow act. They're not being fooled. Thats why I love the American Public. You can't pull wool or - for that matter, any synthetic fibre-over their eyes.

Can you imagine having an actual panic attack (had one before it's fucked)... but having one in a middle of a MIKE TYSON FIGHT? ... Thats straight from a nightmare

Golota should sue his career-guidance counsellor.

"I'm not very bright and suffer from crippling anxiety at inappropriate moments"

    "Have you considered boxing?"

    "Kurwa"

Golota is the weirdest fighter ever. It's like he was actively sabotaging himself his entire career.

He had a good jab, decently fast hands, a bit of pop when he needed and was solid all-rounder. Not to mention being a big heavyweight even for the 90s. Yet even in fights he was sure to have won, he lost by simply being a fucking doughnut.

Yeah, but his reputation is based only on Bowe. A Bowe that didn't train at all in the first fight, and who was badly faded and weight drained in the rematch.

I don't think it's any coincidence that in his very next fight, he gets obliterated by Lewis. That fight is a truer representation of Golota's worth.

Golota had an okay chin, but it wasn't good enough to withstand the power of a Lewis or Tyson. Not that there's much shame in that, you're talking about arguably the two most devastating punchers in heavyweight history.

It didn't help that Bowe didn't take care of himself between fights. Despite the Holyfield wars, Bowe's prime would have lasted longer if he trained like Joe Frazier.
