If Vitali's chin was the only thing Tyson was allowed to hit, that would make it tougher fight for him.

Looking at the Tucker and Bonecrusher fights, Tyson did f*ck all in terms of body attacks in both fights. He purely head hunted. That was Tyson at his best. Not sure which Tyson you're referring to who would show up against Vitali.:scratcher:

Okay. I was under the impression he threw one or two body punches in those fights, but I was probably mistaken.

Wasn't impressive that's for sure. Wouldn't convince me that he'd cave Vitali's skull in like these Tyson fanboys are suggesting.

It seems to me you stated a man of 217lbs cannot possibly hit as hard as a man at 250...I re-read, & sure, enough, that's what you said.

What on Earth gave you that idea?

I don't think Tyson landed a "bunch" on Tucker. He landed some good single head shots here and there, but nothing huge, and also Tucker did a good job of moving back on some of them.

Tyson in the Tucker fight showed some really good things, but bad things as well that other fighters exploited more. It was impressive the way Tyson outjabbed the much taller and rangier Tucker, and also came back from a slow start and paced himself to win over the long haul. On the other hand, we saw Tyson's vulnerability with uppercuts. Tyson also showed his laziness in clinches, and how his head movement would drop off in the mid-rounds. While his lack of head movement was more pronounced later in his career, Tyson always had a tendency to move his head less as the rounds went on. Tucker was too defensive and lacked the abilities to fully exploit this. As far as Vitali having the right style and abilities, I'm not so sure.

Nothing but respect Iron Mike. No matter how bad he looked last night against Paul everyone will always love him.

Last night was the biggest tragedy to hit Dallas since 63.

Huge Tyson fan, but let's not pretend that he didnt stopped respecting his fans in the latter part of his career, by selling them shit priced as gold. Last night was only the culmination of his turn into a con artist that started more than 20 years ago, and a fitting end to his career.

Tyson should team up again with Kevin Rooney. He can be world champion again.
