I am going to post wikipedia's list of their choices. I got hooked on reading this list. The reviews are absolutely brutal yet funny. There are also many points of interests. Controversies, big budget failures, and directors that continue to defend their work decades later while other directors have disowned films. List of films considered the worst - Wikipedia
I think the worst movie I have seen a theater (a drive in no less) was Stroker Ace. Burt Reynolds actually turned down a role in Terms of Endearment (picked up by Jack Nicholson) to go and make that piece of shit. Great decision.
"I used to know a girl, she had a dozen guys. One of the guys found out about it, beat her up so bad that she ended up on a hospital on Guerrero Street."
I watched some of Ben & Arthur, one of the films that got absolutely smoked by critics on that wikipedia list. Because of the outrageously bad reviews I had lowered my expectations down to basement level. Somehow, some way, this movie was still ten times worse than I was expecting it to be. The plot is so bad. Over the top and unbelievably bad. The "heroes" in this film are the worst people on earth and the villains are just slightly worse. The quality, acting, music and effects are all shocking. This makes The Room look like Gone With The Wind.
Mission To Mars is the movie you’re bitching about? A movie that is a solid 5.7 on IMDB and full of some serious A list movie stars (Cheadle, Sinise, and Robbins). A sci fi movie that is actually a film I really enjoy is the worst film you’ve seen in a theater? We should all be so lucky. I’ve seen movies the last two and three years that I consider decent yet I didn’t enjoy as much as I did MTM. In fact the first time I saw MTM the only regret I had was that I hadn’t seen it in theaters.
I don't remember much about the movie at all. All I know was that I was so bored and wanted to walk out. Now that I think about it, GODZILLA VS KONG is the worst movie I've seen in the theater! I literally was laughing during the movie. Kong going to middle earth for a weapon had me giggling like neil at a daycare center.
I loved that film. However the worst movie I ever watched (well, not completely because me and my friends walked out of the movie theater) was a messed up Bruce Lee documentary titled "Bruce: Fist of Fear, Touch of Death" which was a poorly edited mix-match of clips from non-Bruce Lee films kung fu films with the narrator trying hard to explain this was Lee's 'great grandfather', plus whole scenes from bad stock footage of Lee's childhood films. Add to that interviews with people who never met Lee talking about how close friends they were and them demonstrating 'techniques' Lee taught them which were badly choreographed fight scenes. We had enough of this crap and left, but before us many people had already walked out. On that list I have watched more than once 'Showgirls", "Striptease" and was entertained by "North" while recognizing its flaws. "I spit on your grave" spawned two remakes and sequels. So much for being one of the worst ever.
I watched it at a movie theater and when the ending came I wanted more! I meant, yes, it was primitive CGI graphics the Martian recording of the creation of life on earth, but it blew me away. This was such heavy brain stuff for a popcorn film!
I watched that movie so many times as a kid. The original was definitely better. Electric Boogaloo was an after school special. The Spanish chick with Turbo was cute as fuck.
I worked at Blockbuster in college and they gave us 5 free rentals per week. I rented one movie called Urban Menace with Ice T and Big Pun. It was the worst piece of shit I’ve ever seen. It was about as enjoyable as the home video of Pun pistol whipping his wife.
