Morrell vs Benavidez: Final Predictions

I've fallen the fuck off with boxing. The NFL playoffs had me forgetting it was fight week until it occurred to me last night. I'm still ordering though! Sticking by my guns too. Morrell by UD or late stoppage.

 

Going with Benavidez by UD in a close fight.

Have no clue about Morrell's chin and so I'd go Benavidez by late stoppage

I don't know at all about Benavidez beating a prime Pascal, and I'm being serious.

I don't consider Benavidez as good as Froch, and I sure as fuck don't consider Benavidez on the level of Dawson or Kovalev.

I think a prime Pascal would be highly competitive with Benavidez. Even Plant was.

Jean Pascal would beat Plant quite handily. Caleb has beaten exactly no one and is far from being this masterful boxer some are hyping him up to be. You seem to be one of the few here who didn't forget how highly regarded Dawson was before his loss to Pascal. Head to head I would still favor Benavidez but Pascal is definitely live. Only an idiot like Neil would think this is a wash.

As of now, I think it's safe to say Pascal would be a solid favorite over Morrel.

 

I think Benavidez beats Canelo because Canelo is faded, but from a historical standpoint I don't think all that highly of him.

He'd lose by a lot against the likes of Ward, Froch, Calzaghe, Kessler, and that's just at 168. I won't bother mentioning what Jones or Toney would do to him... it's too obvious.

At 175, there's a much much longer list of guys who would have whupped him. And that list is not even limited to the light heavyweight greats. Prime Dawson would have beaten the ever living shit outta Benavidez.

 

God toney would have given such a masteful beating to canelo. Terrible matchup for him

 

Pascal would bumrush bum ass plant easily. As said previously, only an idiot would pick plant. As for Bena, close fight, but i'd make Pascal a slight favorite

Benavidez-Morrell is DOA. That's short for Dead On Arrival. And it's definitely that, as tickets are dead, no one I personally know is buying the PPV, but many have admitted they're going to steal the PPV. This fight could well be a great fight with real fireworks. But it's dead. Another Red Ink special by PBC. PBC is a dead, & very tarnished brand. And that's why Amazon Prime is fleeing the sinking PBC. #Boxing
