Ultimately, both should be remembered as the two most overrated fighters of the last 25 years.

Who will be remembered as more overrated?

I guess at least for now Tank. Wilder has a draw and a near KO of the then division best. It's thin margins. Big punchers and thin resumes. I suspect neither's power would also appear as potent with better opposition.

To be fair, Ortiz was better P4P than anyone Tank has beaten.

Maybe. He was also old as fuck and the first fight the ref helped wilder win

And other than him he hasn't beat any top 10 opponents where as davis has beat at least 4

I agree that overall Davis has beaten multiple solid guys. But as a single opponent, I definitely think Ortiz is the best either of them beat.

I'd say Davis is the answer. Even at Wilder's peak, only a small minority of crazed fans were saying Wilder could beat greats.

Whereas Tank fans have been saying that Tank could beat Pacquiao, Chavez, Whitaker, Duran, and Floyd.

The Wilder fanboys were less delusional.

There were also A LOT of Tank fanboys saying before Saturday that Davis would knockout Crawford.

Even the weight drained Crawford at 135 would adjust and take Tank apart late.

At 140, Bud would have smoked him inside of 5.

Tank clearly inherited the Mayweather groupie fan base, thus his supporters are very loud and annoying. I never heard anyone online saying Wilder was an all time great, even at his peak.

As X previously mentioned, Tank fans are putting him in the top 3 GOAT lightweights and saying he’d beat some legendary names. They look stupid now.

I dont pay attention to their fan bases. Ranking resumes Davis had a better career so far

That's the thing: The bar SHOULD be higher for Davis. He has a lot more skill than Wilder.

But for his skill-set, his career is a let down.

In a perfect world, someone would have set up the Wilder vs Zelenoff fight, then just locked all the doors on both of them and set the gym on fire.

    Davis IS the Answer...

To the Degree Wilder was "Rated", it was an All Time Great PUNCHER, Nothing More...Whereas, Tank was Starting to Be Rated On Levels You've Mentioned...

Tank is for Sure the More OVER-Rated of the 2...

    Wilder for sure.
Tank shoulda lost the decision to Roach.
It was a combination of Davis underrating a very good fighter.
I think Roach is far better than anyone Wilder beat

Lol come on, that's not even close to being true. Ortiz is way overrated here, he basically would be a gate keeper in a good era and even in this terrible era, his only noteworthy W are Jennings and Martin...

There's no question, I think Wilder has a lot more heart.

Davis is a bitch. If he was taking a beating, I'm pretty sure he'd quit. He's mentally soft.

Wilder was always subject to scrutiny so he tried harder. You put Tank in some of the crises that Wilder faced a d you'll see him quit. I'm not taking about stuff like Fury II or III , I mean even stuff like the rematch with Ortiz or even the Chinese Polish guy.

I’ve believed this as well. And I’ve always felt that was a major reason that his team was ridiculously selective with their match making.

You just get the feeling that in the face of any real adversity, Tank folds… And I don’t think he’d handle a loss too well either. He’d make a bunch of excuses and probably retire right then and there.

Problem is how else does he make a living? He doesn’t exactly come across as a bright or charismatic guy, so he can’t be an announcer. Can’t see him training other fighters. Can’t see him having a career in Hollywood either. And with his propensity to get into trouble, how else does he make an income if it isn’t in the ring?

He's got bad timing. When The Wire was on he'd have been the perfect addition. Now he's still playing that short of character long after that vibe has moved on. It's not 2008 anymore.

Pwizzon, as Mike Tyson used to say, seems a real risk .

Unless he pulls a Tekeshi move and snitches everyone out first.
